When using CMD-SHIFT-4 Space to take a screenshot the camera icon has been changed to a glyph camera icon. (Screenshots don't include the cursor.)

There is a brand new iPhoto Library Icon.



You can now use Photo Booth style effects in the photo picker.

Of Course the TileGame Widget has been updated with the Mountain Lion.



This is odd but apparently the "Sexy " New Trash Can Icon doesn't natively create a reflection, these are in Dock.app.



This has already been mentioned, but this icon is new to ML's Accessibility Preferences.



When hovering over the divider in the Dock to resize the arrow has been changed from a black arrow to a larger white arrow.

Has anyone else noticed mds and mdworker (metadata server for Spotlight etc.) popping up every few seconds?

First mds starts running at 50% CPU for a few seconds. When it's done it fires up two mdworker processes at 25% each which also run for a few seconds.

I feel like it's wasting my precious battery life. And since no previous OSes have done this, why should ML have to?

The new photo library icon is also in 10.7.4 - i think it happens when you update iphoto

Your other photos aren't showing up.

I'm on 10.7.4. I'm just asking to see if they fixed it in 10.8 because on 10.7 it's unreliable and doesn't always work. Thanks for the info.

It doesn't work with websites that use @font-face fonts. Pretty major bug.

I saw it sometimes. Nobody here would know why that happens, it could very well be a bug. If you can find it fast enough in Activity Monitor, press the "Sample Process' button, save the output and then file it into a bug report at http://bugreporter.apple.com

I'm not 100% sure that this wasn't in Safari 5.1 but you can add the address book to the bookmarks bar (I have links to Facebook for each contact for example).

Has been in Safari since 10.3 or 10.4

I think this is new: When scrolling in 'All My Files' in the finder, the top bar saying things like 'Images' 'Movies' stays on top of the relivent section (like iOS).

Also animations and scrolling seem a lot snappier and smoother on my late 2009 iMac with the latest build!
ETA: Same thing with quick look, much faster!

You have to restore the install ESD.dmg inside the contents of the installer app. (Right click-->Show package contents.)

found a "funny" bug in safari 6. when i type "tin..." (as in tinypic) without the "www." in the adress bar, my browser crashes

Nope. "Data Detectors" does not appear to work in Notes, but still is functional in Mail.
