Is it Command + W? That closes multiple tabs without moving my hand off the keyboard. :)

Well, yes that still works. But he means the tabs hold their sizes and positions for a few moments as you close tabs so the click target isn't changing constantly.

Hmm, I've just finished installing Mavericks, everything seems to be fine except Little Snitch keeps popping up "not support" dialog... Any solution ? :(

Apparently I was wrong, there is a progress bar for installation in finder. Probably for updates as well.

Don't know if it's outside the MAS though.

Weird issue: preferences .plist files are wonky. So far I've tried to copy over preference files from Pages, Numbers and Moom from my 10.8 installation. No matter what I do the apps ignore it and open with default preferences.

I can change the preferences in the apps, quit and reopen them and the preferences I just set are retained. But no amount of deleting and replacing .plist files has any effect. This is weird, almost like preferences are being stored elsewhere or something.

All the app versions are the same across both installs so I'm sorta lost on this one. I want to say it's a beta bug, but when you think about it that doesn't make any sense with what's actually happening...

I've been reading that QuickTime is apparently deprecated. Can anyone elaborate more on this? Is this referring to regular QuickTime as opposed to QuickTime X?
QuickTime X and Final Cut Pro X use the 64-Bit AVFoundation framework (Mac OS X 10.6+) and other modern frameworks. I heard a rumor that 64-Bit iTunes uses the same frameworks.

The old QuickTime existed since 1991:

...

Furthermore:

* Spotlight Comments in Finder's Info panel has been replaced by Tags, Comments is now an additional section
* Finder Preferences lets you manage your Tags, and also customize Favorites (the favorites are the tags that show up in the context menu)
...

Interesting. Do you have a screenshot of that? I am concerned about what happens after a while when bazillion Tags pile up.

Phrase shortcuts are now available on the mac & they all sync via iCloud.

How is the new english voice?
At WWDC we had a too short demo of it...

Can anyone post the audio of the new voice, please? Maybe reading the whole Bible, would be nice.

Trying again:
According to the TN2300 technical note, AVKit supports video edition.

Does QuickTime Player X have video editing capabilities?
Does it support 5/10/whatever seconds jumps using keyboard (ideally using right/left/up/down arrows)?

Notes is definitely not on 10.5, have it on my PB, not there.
You sure? :) Read my post. It's in the Apple Mail app. In 10.8 somebody determined it should be made into a separate app and dumbed down to look and act like the iOS counterpart.

QuickTime X had video editing for a WHILE now. I believe keyboard scrubbing is also supported.

Really? I haven't used QT Player for a while (I use the excellent MPlayerX for video playback instead), and didn't upgrade to ML. I read the John Siracusa's reviews of Lion and ML and he didn't mention it.

Good to know!

A little thing, if you open a document that's already open, instead of just moving it to the front, it does a little pop as well.

New tabbed finder is very cool although still a bit flaky, hopefully they work all the bugs out.

So you want two bars: one on the launch pad or one on finder? Or I'm missing something. When you install, the progress bar is located on the launchpad icon.

Which isn't useful if you never use Launchpad (or launch it from a key) and have removed it from the dock.

My most used app on my Macbook is calendars, and I never cared much for the leather stitching at the top. So I'm excited for the new update.

Can anyone post a screenshot of calendars in the month view? This is my most common view that I use in the app, and I'm curious how it looks. Thanks!

Just trimming.
