They do and they don't. It's extremely buggy for me. Basically it doesn't work 90% of the time.

I thought this was one of the "improvements" of Mountain Lion... I guess it's a step backwards now?

They expand every time, you just need to have your mouse where the scroll bar would be before you start to scroll. You can't make it expand while you are already scrolling.

Well, that's less useful than the ML implementation... :(

Are the dock menus changed back to white now (as in Leopard / 10.5) to suit the new dock look?

1. What is the version number of python in Mavericks? i.e. in terminal "python --version" or "python3 --version"
2. About 10.8's mission control, there is an option "When switching an application, switch to a space with open windows for the application" in system preferences, but some built-in app (yes Finder, the most important one) doesn't behave according to the setting. It's very frustrating when I trying to staying concentrate on a certain space when there is Finder's window already open in any other space.

1. In beta 5:
$ python --version
Python 2.7.5
$ python3 --version
-bash: python3: command not found

2. Looks sorted to me. Switches back to the space with all the finder windows.

I've created this script to replace Time Machine animating icon in Mavericks :) - Mac tells you that Time Machine backup is in progress like when you have announcing time enabled.
Code:
#!/bin/csh
set oznameno = 0
while(1)
set stav = `tmutil status | grep -c 'Running = 1'`
	if (($stav == 1) & ($oznameno == 0)) then
  	say -v Alex "Initiating backup"
   		while ($stav == 1)
   			set stav = `tmutil status | grep -c 'Running = 1'`
			if ($stav == 0) then
			break
			endif
		end
  		say -v Alex "Backup done."
		set oznameno = 0
	endif
end
Just save save it in ~/Library/Scripts and it should work. If not, contact me :).

PS: Yes, it isn't nice at all, I've just wanted to try to do something useful in csh :D

Network Utility has been removed in DP5.

Actually it's moved to /System/Library/CoreServices/Applications/, alongside RAID Utility and Wireless Diagnostics. You can get to it in kind of a weird way: open System Information and choose Window > Network Utility.

Thanks. Fixed.

How does well the beta you guys running it? Is it stable now?

Is there no beta to iBooks that I and anyone else can play with as long? I have to me that Apple released to the public so they could run iMessage before the Mountain Lions.

Besides the annoying scroll problem, it runs pretty well.

travel time in the calendar is soooooooooooooooooo awesome. I love it!

automatically calculates time from home or work to my appointment depending on the day/time. Or from one appointment to the next.

Loving it, for real, best thing ever!

Only sad thing is the beta.icloud.com version nor iOS7 calendar support it :-(

Smart locations do work in iOS7 though. <3

Would a new version of ilife be included with osx mavericks? Would Ilife 11 be included?

Probably won't be included with OS X. A new version seems unlikely as they've already seeded an update to iPhoto. There is a rumour though that iLife/iWork may go free.

Wait for the Apple Special Event. Probably they will announce iLife 13. I want them to bring back iMovie and iWeb!
iMovie is still around, it's iDVD that's gone.

iLife upgrades have never been free before. We'll see updates to the iLife applications. Although as it has been stated, they may just go free for both iLife and iWork.

Yes I meant iDVD not iMovie. They are too similar together. Yes the upgrade will be paid, I'll use iL11 and iL09 for iDVD and iWeb. I wonder if iLife 13 will not be compatible with 10.6.8 (SL).

The fact that the vast majority of Apple's current Mac line doesn't have a DVD burner anymore, I can't see them bringing back iDVD.

I'd have to say based on the current version requirements, that the next upgrades to the iLife apps won't work on Snow Leopard. iPhoto requires 10.7.5 or later. iMovie requires 10.7.4 or later. GarageBand is listed as 10.6.8 or later currently, but I bet that's going to change with the next update.
