2. Looks sorted to me. Switches back to the space with all the finder windows.

Thanks for your checking. For answer No.2, switching back to the space with all finder windows with the option unchecked for not switching back is non-sense.

ML was release with quite a few clear bugs, and it seems like this time will be the same...

For me ML was the worst OS X release. Lion had less issues and was faster. And SL was the best of the two. Mavericks is better but not better than Lion all it needs is more speed and some ui improvements and then it will be right behind sl for me.

Voices

Not sure if it's been asked before, but does Mavericks have any new text-to-speech voices? I know iOS 7 is supposed to have new voices for Siri.

I'm not sure when it was added but Mountain Lion (and probably Lion) has newer voices that aren't included by default but can be downloaded, which are pretty nice compared to the old ones. Would be nice if they kept getting improved. I use them for reading textbooks out loud.

Unfortunately I had to put java back. At least you can use it and then disable it.

I have been running Mac OS 5.0 on my SE/30 for the past twenty-five years. Is there any chance I can update it to Mavericks?

Ahhh. See the trick to the SE/30 is to throw some ram in there. 4GB should do it. I remember the ram being the bottleneck on these, not the CPU.

I have a Commodore 64 hackintosh running 10.9 fluidly. The difference Ram and an SSD makes is night and day.
