Has anyone mentioned this yet? I thought it was new after I updated to 3.0. I hope it is because I don't think I ever noticed before.

When you are listening to podcasts, tap to pull up the scrollbar and there are a few more icons. The envelope will email the link to the podcast to anyone you want. The circular arrow with the 30 inside quick rewinds back 30 seconds. The icon on the right will let you pick the playback speed from 1x, 2x, or 1/2x. I like that one because I got some long podcasts and listening to them in 2x speeds is pretty useful.

I dont know if its covered and i guess it really isnt a feature but when you type the f-bomb it no longer vehemently tries to correct it with Duck, same for some other expletives

It's about ducking time. All my ducks always seemed so...harmless...when they needed to be "i'm going to chop your ducking head off unless you perform!!". Thanks Apple for trying to make me a moral person though

Why didn't someone come up with the "rewind 30 seconds" button ten years ago? BRILLIANT INVENTION ! :)

I just found this out as well. Its awesome, especially the rewind 30 seconds. So many times have i zoned out and wanted to rewind and ended up rewinding to far and then fastfowarding to far and back again etc.

Also dammm... i wanted to post this find but you beat me to it. :D

Hmm, what happened to repeat (1x and all)?

that's a great new feature. nice find

Has this one been mentioned?

When you hold down your finger on a link a menu will pop up and allow you to either copy the URL or open it in another window.

MMS is currently working on my phone in the US with AT&T.

I noticed when sending out a text to multiple recipients, the message sends as a group MMS. Any message that gets replied back to my group SMS stays in the same conversation as the original group SMS I sent out and doesnt get placed in a seperate SMS conversation.

Each message has the name from the person who sent the reply to the group MMS. Attached is a screen shot that shows the feature better.

Nice. This apparently only works with MMS, though. I'm guessing MMS has something similar to the in_reply_to flags that tweets have on Twitter.

This is new... when typing a long text message, it enlarges the text box you are typing in to all the way to the top of the screen rather than limiting it to like 4 lines.

I don't know if this was a 2.2.1 addition that I didn't notice or new in 3.0, but you can now turn off the repeating of message alerts.

There is a new iPhone setting under phone numbers in the contacts. It still has home, mobile, work, etc, but also now has iPhone.

This sounds cool but I'm not seeing it. I tried editing a contact to change a number to "iPhone" but it's not there. Am I misunderstanding?

i believe someone mentioned about the facebook pictures being set as contact photos... its true for my phone.. it happened without me doing anything.

When in calendar u can now place a phone number in notes app lets option to call number

Reply with selected text

Not sure if this was found, but I didn't see it on this thread searching.

You can now select a portion of text in Mail. Hit reply and that portion you selected gets added. The old way, everything gets selected. So now you can control what you want to be added on a reply.

this one isn't exciting but i noticed that when you engage airplane mode you can no longer enter phone preferences and it says airplane mode next to it.

It's there. Cool.

Just edit a contact and #. The choice is there.

I sync my contacts with Nuevasync and I don't have that option. I turned off the Contact sync (which cleared all my contacts), added a new contact and the option was there.

I wonder if this is a Nuevasync issue or Exchange.

does 3.0 automaticly turn off wifi or did you enable it? i find it annoying that it disables wifi when turning airplane mode on especially when I want to use WunderRadio without the distortion I get when having airplane mode off

I thought that you can enable it again after turning on Airplane mode. So that one can use WiFi on the plane.

It still auto kills wifi whether you have it on or off. You have to re-enable it after you turn on airplane mode.

I had it on in the pic just because I was in an edge area and all the speakers I was passing by made that weird noise that they do.

 I didn't understand that. Can you please clarify?

he/she means that when you create a new event in the calendar app and then add a phone number in the "Notes" field when creating the event, then you can now call that number when viewing the event.
