I really hope this shade of Blue is here to stay for next years phone when I want to upgrade but seeing the fate of last years Midnight Green, I‘m really not hopeful.... :(
Probably an updated color change.
I really can see them going with a DEEP "Wine Red" ("Blood Red" ...maybe a bad name for the color)
"Napa Red", Wine Country California seems like it could be a great name.

I love my pacific blue, had it in the 12 pro 512 which I gave to my son and got my self a max pacific blue and a graphite one. Like both equally.

I acquired the Pacific Blue last night on a 12 Pro Max. I've never seen the colors offered prior to visiting Apple last night. The only experience I had with colors were from online photos and youtube videos. I initially ordered the Graphite since PB was hard to acquire. When I got to Apple last night, they had the PB available - go figure why it wasn't available prior to driving down to Apple I stalked the site. During my 15 mins. alloted time, the Graphite awed me more than the PB. I chose PB because is was a new color for iPhones, even though I really was drawn to Graphite more so. There's a chance, small chance, I may exchange my PB for the Graphite. I may do that after Christmas Since I couldn't make a decision last night, the Apple guy told me to go home with the PB and later exchange it for Graphite before Jan 8th. deadline. Apple didn't seem to mind a color exchange.

Many said the Graphite was the same color as last years 11 Pro Max, just a different name. (I didn't have the 11.)

The Graphite also has a slight color shift - appears a lighter gray in certain angles, darker in another angle. The camera module may look black also at one angle, or like a shiny dark mirror in other lighting conditions. I never hated this color, the Pacific Blue was totally different and cool - and I've had gray/black phones for over a decade. Kinda wanted to switch it up for a change.

I always thought this YouTube video pretty much nailed the colors at multiple angles, lighting.
The graphite looks super sexy!

It's the opposite here impossible to get Graphite.

I was looking to exchange my Pro Max from 256gb to 512gb for about a week. It seemed as though one of the four colors was almost exclusively available for pickup each day. By the fourth day Pacific Blue was easily available and I opted for that on Friday.

Where's here? 12 Pro Max Graphite, 512 and 256, seem to always be available here in Southern California. The Pacific Blue 256, which I have now, I stalked for 2 weeks. I ordered Graphite, then went to Apple for pick-up, they had Pacific Blue, and did an exchange of my Graphite online order.

I love the blue. Hate the shiny blue edges. Wish the edges had the matte edges instead of the glossy. Oh well! I got the graphite anyway ;)

How does the Space Gray compare to the Graphite? I'm picking up the Graphite in-store tomorrow. I based my alternate decision on the fact that Pacific Blue was hard to find and watching Youtube videos. I was never fond of Space Gray on an iPhone (even though I plan on purchasing a MB Pro in Space Gray). Are the colors the same; just a change in color name by Apple?

To me the Space Gray looked black majority of the time and the Graphite looks lighter.

Ahhhh my nephew had the pro max in pacific blue last night so I got a nice close up look. Oof it was very nice and made my gold look boring. Blue is the exciting color to get this year and no other pro color says “12” more than this one. I will without a doubt be exchanging before the holiday return period. I’ll also be returning the saddle back leather case as I don’t think it will go with the blue at all.

The only color I haven’t seen yet in person is the graphite. The PB just look so beautiful.

If this color were to come out next year, I can see myself keeping my Pro Max for another year. I’ve never been a fan of a red phone or too much red in general.

There is always this small little wave of availability in many stores around here, all colors & GB sizes. Suddenly nothing around for 4-5 days...then another restock.

YET, there is an option to order by 5pm ET, drop $9 and have an item delivered today within 2 hours... even if that phone may show "Unavailable" in stores. 🤷🏻‍♂️

(No brainer. Order and wait until "Dec. 15 - 22" OR drop another 9 bucks and have it in a few hours. Hmm, let me think about that? 🤔 LOL)

What are you searching for in the graphite color? I’ve seen it in person. It has some midnight green undertones with some gray mixed in. It was alright. I’m looking in the direction of the PB fo a color exchange. Have the gold and it’s great but saw my nephew who has the blue and I liked it better
