Finally got sick of Apple spamming me everyday to update my IOS to 11, so I reluctantly upgraded. At least 120 dollars worth of apps that worked on my phone earlier today not don’t work on the same phone now. @“$! You Apple!

A known issue for a long time - IOS 11 doesn't support 32 bit apps. Apple hasn't accepted 32 bit apps for years. Gave warnings with IOS 10 when you opened them.
Blame the app developers who didn't want to upgrade their apps - they had years to do it and it isn't the biggest deal to go from 32 to 64 with no other changes.

not Apple's fault

Gotta say that this is a rather pathetic sounding whine. Apple had been warning both users and developers that this would happen for ages (with iOS having in app warnings ever since 10.1 I believe). They even provided a method to identify apps that we're still 32 bit and had warnings that would appear when you ran them.

Apple are not responsible for app vendors ignoring Apple's advice in not updating apps - your grumble should be directly solely at them and not at Apple at all.

32 bit support on iOS was a drain on resources and was a hangover that needed to go, irrespective of the pain.

Want to whine? Then whine at the app vendors for refusing to update your paid apps - and - whilst at it, take a level of personal responsibility for totally ignoring Apple's warnings that this would happen.

Amazing how people bitch at Apple when they do something after giving notice for a year that they'll be doing this.

Since everyone above me wrote exactly what I was going to write, I am just going to echo a few things, haha. One, this is the app developers fault like everyone else said, and two, your damn fault for not paying attention to what Apple has been telling all of us for over a year!

Email the developers of the apps that do not work and bitch at them, not Apple.

Good day Sir!

:apple:

There were also tons of articles out during the iOS 10 days on how to see what apps are 32 bit and won't be upgraded when you move to iOS 11. I am surprised your curiosity didn't arise when you kept seeing this message...

And this showed where to find incompatible apps at Settings/General/About:

It's really a shame Apple couldn't come up with a better work around for people to keep their 32-Bit apps. And to make matters worse they constantly push and almost trick you into upgrading your device to iOS 11. I have 100's of 32-bit apps as well that I didn't want to lose, so I bought a 2nd iPad to keep on the old iOS and a newer iPad I use on iOS 11+.

Delete them, you aren't using them anyway or there are better apps now. You're just hoarding.

Joke, right? Because just about everything written here is ignorant.

They did - don't upgrade.

What you expect them to do? Come up with a whole new method of 32 bit emulation that would act the exact same way just so a few people could keep aged unsupported apps still running?

Get real!

We’re talking OS here, but isn’t the A11 also incompatible with 32bit apps? So the issue was coming either with the first processor to drop support or the first OS to drop support for 32bit apps.

Apple decided to have these 2 events coincide.

It would be nice if you are
1) given the option to downgrade
2) not CONSTANLTY spammed by apple to upgrade

Microsoft Windows has been 64 bit for years and still supports 32 bit software.

Doesn’t matter.

Bottom line is the OP should direct his ire towards the developers who have not updated.

Apple warned a long time ago this was coming.

And even if 32 bit was still allowed, the OP had no expectation that any of his apps would still be available by the developers or Apple, as apps can be removed at any time by both entities.
