It is if you’re a klutz like me. You have a kid but do you have pets like a rambunctious dog or a cat? My dog, rest her soul, was a tall girl who used to knock things out of my hands with her nose. Cats…there’s much to be said about cats and technology. sigh.
Yes, cats don’t like our attention being diverted from the more important things in life 😉

Here is a photo of what I have been using on my 13PM. It does add some girth, but the attachment options are great for photo/video work. I removed the piece that went over the cameras.

Maybe this is a stopgap for me before going fully naked.

I like my phones how I like my women…all phones other than iPhone 7 have been naked.. the matte aluminum on the 7 was too slick so I cased it. XS was the best for grip with the gloss back. 12 pro is pretty grippy with the gloss sides and my 14 pro will be naked as well.. my 12 pro is in absolute mint condition after two years without a case. I won’t even set it on a hard surface without putting something under it lol..

I've owned almost every iPhone Apple has ever made, and I've never put a case on any of them. No cracked screens, no broken phones, and yes, I have a kid.

It really isn't that hard to keep your phone in great shape.
I was the same way until the XS. I placed it in the bathroom counter while doing my business. Sucker was slippery and slipped right off the counter and shattered the back as soon as it hit the floor. Haven’t trusted Apple to not make them so damn slippery and fragile since….so a case it is.

Have carried my iPhone 11 Pro with a back and front glass protector as well as lens protector since I bought it Dec. 2019. Dropped it a handful of times, once from chest height onto linoleum floor, but I think the sliding action saved it from any noticeable damage.

I installed the last screen protector and back glass on it right before my trip to Kyiv, Ukraine on September 2021, and while there are numerous chips on the back protector and a crack on the screen protector since then, the phone has stayed in great condition. Planning to treat my upcoming silver 14 PM the same way, back and front protectors, and a lens protector. Not worried about damaging it :)

Only a screen protector on mine since the original iPhone.... I did use a bumper for a while on the iPhone 4 when they gave one for free.... and I have one of those really thin paper cases from totallee for my 13PM which I throw on occasion when I am going to do an activity or sport.

I always have my phone in a case and have a screen protector on it. I like to change my case out with different outfits or for different events, etc. just as a fun styling option.

I have a screen protector on the phone, but it's otherwise naked. I've dropped it a few times, and the screen protectors have broken. However, the phone has been undamaged (tiny spots of the edge of the stainless band have scuffs, but it's difficult to see, and I don't worry about it). These phones are just too pretty to hide away in a case all the time imo.

Always with a slim case, to protect against light hits.

E.g.for situations like when i go sit on the bowl, and wear shorts with wide pockets with the phone in it. The phone tends to lightly hit our stone floor. When the shorts goes down, it halfway falls on the floor, and hits the corner, without a case it would get light marks.

I gave up buying cases to avoid bigger fall damages, the phone always finds a way to become trash. Once i had one of those super protective rubber case, the phone stayed intact, but the screen lamination inside the phone under the screen glass went/peeled off when it hit the floor.

I’ve ordered a Spigen Liquid Air for my 14 Pro. Had the same case on my 12 and was very happy with the protection it offered.

Would love to go naked but use a case with a kickstand for viewing media. Can’t decide which case to go with this year. Could also just buy the stick on kickstand.

I have had my XR naked for 4 years. No scratches or damage yet.

I think it makes me a little more careful with it.

I’m looking at a leather case for the 14 Pro, but might go naked again.

I’ll probably buy a case, realise I don’t like the extra bulk, and then remove it.

No AppleCare.

I never considered this. So just a screen protector? What about the rear glass? Are there protective coatings for the back camera lenses too?

Anyone have experience with the Totallee cases? The one frosted clear looks nice — maybe this combined with a screen protector would work? I was thinking about camera protection too, but if I go with the case this doesn’t seem necessary.

Not totally naked, but not fully clothed either — almost like just t-shirt and underwear 😉

Naked feels terrible, slippery like a wet bar of soap
Hard disagree. I hate to put a cheap cover on something so beautiful and well-built, which feels so premium in the hand.

I've never, ever, had my phone feel slippery or slip from my hand in 15 years of using iPhone.
