2.0 update HELP

When I tried to restore the new FW, the apple logo came on and then the whole screen went blank... now I get the 1604 error again. :S

I restored 1.1.4 sucessfully and then tried 2.0 and it did it a second time.

Any ideas?


EDIT - I just did a restore from the blank screen iPhone. Seemed to work fine

Okay from what I understand I downloaded it three times so far no success.

I hold down shift and click check for updates. I open the file and it begins to update. Then it fails and gives me this unknown error code (1611).

Then the phone goes black with an Apple logo and a spinning circle thing at the bottom and just stays there. Itunes does not recognize it. So I have to shut it down and restart it and it boots up from 1.0. Then I have to reinstall everything. As you can imagine this is time consuming.

Anyways, since this has happened three times anyone got any suggestions?

i was having the same issue.

I re-downloaded the firmware and then rebooted both my mac and my iPhone and low and behold it worked. Im now using 2.0 in all its glory

I had a 1.1.4 16gb iphone that i used ziphone on, used the unlock all feature in ziphone months back, i have a o2 contract but NOT iphone one and basically i ran the download installed 2.0 fine, went through the activation in itunes etc, by logging in using my email/password from itunes account and it come up 'activated iphone'. Then restored all contacts/music etc from back up file.

Working like a charm, as i say i am on a o2 contract but not iphone so so far so good .......
