Hello guys, a little bit OT, my apologies,
I have a specific question about ATI HD5770M 512MB card; I got a FOC iMac 21.5 mid 2011 which had several issues initially, left with one:
* whenever I want to install MacOS High Sierra (installer is ok, tried El Capitan, tried a pre-installed HighSierra, too, which can run on my other 21.5" an 27", also tried internet recovery), it boots half-way (same in verbose mode and safe mode), Logo+progress bar appears, but at some point it switches to a blank white screen. Tried SMC & Pram reset, nothing.
* I can boot into diagnostic mode, shows all ok. Graphics card is shown as HD5770M 512MB, as per serial number (checked; # C02FQ0W0DHJN, EMC# 2428).
* I can boot into Linux Mint with parameter "nomodeset".
Could it be that the BIOS of the card is corrupted; can I re-flash (e.g. using the linux stick suggested in this thread)? Which ROM? I wasn't able to find the 5770 512MB ROM for this card, help is appreciated.
If I put this onto the Linux stick, how would I flash it? Any command I need to change in the scrips?
Here is the Linux report:

Apart from that, it's a machine that probably wasn't updated, so that Bootloader or such things are older. Any way to check that - and to update that - without being able to boot MacOS?
