Hello everyone, I installed AMD M6100 on my iMac. To be honest, I expected a greater increase in graphics. Can anyone tell me why the video chip operates at a frequency of 600? because it should be 1000. We lose 40% of the chip power. How nice it was to see how the system thinks that I have an iMac Pro. Below are before and after photos.
PS
I tried to put Big Sur works fine, but the processor is always loaded by 20-40%

Is there a modded bios for this card? If yes, probably you need to flash it. I saw much better results after flashing the Nick[v]b bios in my K2100m.

As regards Big Sur, when you first update from High Sierra, the system needs to build the new spotlight catalog, and maybe this is why you experienced high cpu usage. But after a while it reverts to normal usage.

Before installing the card, I flashed the BIOS, which I took from the first page of the topic.
Big Sur may need to give the system time to work, maybe in the future I will upgrade to this version.
----
I noticed such a feature when the screen turns off, but does not go to sleep, the drive fans go to maximum speed.

Check you cables and sensors, this sounds like your system is throttled down because of a missing temp sensor?

I have all the sensors connected except HDD because SSD is installed. And so I turned off the HDD cooling fan (it hums terribly even at low speeds) and needs to be replaced.

Hi guys, would there be any way to put a newer gpu in a iMac 24" Late 2006? It has a MXM II slot

Hello, I installed in iMac 27 2011 (imac12,2) gpu WX4150 (Dell) flashed it with GOP bios from the first post, now my iMac only boots with an external monitor connected, (there is no image on the external monitor), at the moment imac is installed high siera, (I want to upgrade to big sur or monterey), OCLP installed, but still neither external nor internal monitor shows boot options, tell me what is my mistake?

I used hackintool and I see that OCLP is using opencore 0.78 (instead of the latest one 0.79), and I also have a few kexts that could be updated to their latest version (see the attached pic).
Should I update the opencore and the kexts to the latest ones, or do I risk making the system unusable? 😅

OCLP is a package, do not rip it apart unless you want to enter the land of unsupported unsupported Macs.

Hello dear friends,
i've been trying to get an AMD M6100 running on my 2011 iMac 27" for 2 weeks now. I've followed all the instructions i found in this great post. But I'm still getting a black screen on both the internal and external screens. I'm using the vBios (Rom2) and i've tried all the Opencore settings and added the SSDT but nothing works.
Would someone be so kind as to send me their EFI folder with a working configuration from an iMac 2011 with an AMD M6100 gpu.

Thanks in Advance.

Hello,
thanks for your tip, but i tried that several times, as well as a smc reset but the screen stays black. I was able to successfully test the graphics card on a dell laptop. I'm afraid that my opencore data directory is faulty.

Hi, I bought gtx 880m 8gb flash it with the rom.here on the website but is recognize only 4gb, it's a video card problem or the rom here ?

The M6100 is a Bonaire card which should work even now on High Sierra without any OpenCore.
OpenCore only switches on the LCD before booting macOS.
