I'm waiting for the M9, but only if it has a decent camera. No UltraPixel bullsh**.

I've been wanting to get out of Samsung camp for a long time but there's nothing that I like. Nexus should be the choice but the 5 lacked on so many things and the 6 is just too damn big.

Same here. I am looking forward to the M9 more than any other phone. If HTC can put a great camera in an already great phone I might not get the S6.

Unless the m9 has a removable battery and micro SD card slot then it will always be Samsung for me.

A Nexus Player that has HDMI pass through and integration with my DVR.

A mid-ranged, 13" Chromebook with a touch screen.

Version 2 of the Microsoft Band or any non-Apple watch that can access Siri.

Version 2 of the Moto Hint.

Sony Xperia Z4
A foldable tablet/phablet

I am actually looking forward more for movies like the new Avengers and Star Wars than actual devices. Seems like incremental updates every year. No groundbreaking on the horizon.

But I saw the O+ 360 devices recently. I really like their gesture swipe wakeups. O+ is based in the USA but make phones for the Philippine market. They introduced Air Shuffle way before Samsung brought it with the S4 with the air waving feature. O+ 360 series' touch rear panel is an interesting concept esp to help for one-handed use. Similar to Huawei putting the fingerprint scanner on the BACK. Makes sense since our fingers are generally behind the device. I expect some good things from several "hungrier" companies including O+, Xiaomi, HTC, Sony, Oppo/OnePlus, Gionee, Meizu, Huawei, Lenovo, and whichever OEM that makes the next Nexus devices.

2015 ...What devices will you be looking for?

What I want in 2015

iOS - iPad with Wacom Digitiser & 2048 levels Pressure Sensitivity.

Android - that manufacturers re-look at how they customise android. Make their stock apps and launcher apps that are updateable via the App Store separately from firmwares, so we're not left with people left frustrated by lack of launcher updates & fixes to stock apps as they wait months for android update to reach their device.

That were not left in a position again where a March/April 2014 device is left lingering on old launcher software when an OEM release another tablet line only 2-3 months later with updated launcher and stock apps. Samsung are a total curse for this....

The whole way android updates and manufacturer Specific app updates needs to be re-thought and putting them entirely on the play store may be a way to stop consumer frustrations - and allow devices to get updates without waiting months for carriers and OEMs to get updates rolled out....

It may also help to debloat a lot of OEMs software if it simply supplied everything like launcher and stock apps via the App Store - leaving relatively clean stock core OS underneath....

I predict neither of these to happen, but it's what I want in devices 2015....

HTC Phones, if they ever ditch Ultrapixel
A 1020 or K Zoom successor, if they even exist
iWatch and any 2.0 versions of the MS Band or Gear S

iPad Pro, MacBook Air (Fanless) - 2015

and iPhone 7 for 2016.

As for non-Apple Devices - a powerful (i7 with a minimum of 8GB RAM & 512GB SSD, portable Windows 10 notebook (maybe an ultrabook). - 2015

Chromecast 2 - Chromecast is already awesome as it is, but it can benefit from AC specification and maybe even WIFI Direct. This way you don't need to give out your WIFI password to that sketchy guest who wants to cast to your screen.

Apple Watch - The design looks better and better the more I look at it...the Apple mind control scheme is working!

One Plus Two / One Plus One 2015 - My nephew owns the OPO and he always raves about the battery life, the speakers, and the just the speed of the phone. I want to get one, but the tech geek in me doesn't want to "settle" for the existing version haha. If they can reclaim screen estate from those giant bezels and make it a 5.7" - 5.8" screen phone without adding much size, that would be a huge improvement..oh and a better camera.

Foldable screens !!!!!!!!!! Seriously, this would catapult the market. A flagship foldable screen phone/tablet hybrid could command $900+, it might kill the 8" tablet market but it looks like that market is switching to 10-12" anyway.

Anything else is just somewhat useless stats except for maybe battery life.

Sounds like samsung are bringing out an ultra book in January. Basically something similar to macbook

Hmm I'm in the market for a new laptop in a few months because mine is on its last legs. I was thinking of a MacBook pro but I'll definitely look at the Samsung ultrabook.

Laptop: Macbook Air Retina
NAS: Lacie 5 Big with 20 TB
Smartphone: Z4 Compact
Tablet: Z4 Tablet Compact
Other devices: Chromecast 2

Note 8 update
Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra
HTC M9 Max
Rumored 6+ inch Moto X

If I don't get an announcement for any of those soon I'll snag a Xperia z3 Tablet Compact.

I'm also making the move from Windows 7 to an iMac. First time using a mac for my own use. It'll be nice being so compatible with my 6+.

I would like Samsung to announce a Windows 8 tablet with a Core M CPU.

----------

I am only interested in tablets for next year i have 2 tablets a high end Android tablet(Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4) and a very powerful 11.6 inch Windows 8 tablet Acer Iconia W700(I5 Core).

For next year i would like to get another 1 or 2 tablets next year.

I am thinking...

Ipad Air 2

And a lighter and thinner(and all so with better battery life) 10/11 inch Windows 8 tablet with a Core M or I5 Core CPU and with a prober keyboard dock like Acer Aspire Switch 11, Dell Venue Pro 11.

I just love tablets! :) :)

You should get a small tablet and a big tablet, so it's not very redundant. Maybe the next Galaxy tab pro 8.4?

I already have a small tablet my Android tablet(Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4) and a big tablet my 11.6 inch Windows 8 tablet(Acer Iconia W700).

And what does redundant mean?

It's due for an upgrade. The Nexus 7 2013 is nice and all, but 2 years for a refresh makes sense. 3 GB of RAM seems to be a market trend now and having the same type of experience for tablets and phones works for people. Especially now that Google supports 64 bit processors, they can put that in, but the price point will go up a tad bit.

The Nexus 9 has replaced both of Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 all togather.
So i don't think there will be another new Nexus 7.

I agree i was suprised the Nexus 9 only has 2GB of RAM considering the last gen Nexus 7(2012 and 2013) had 2GB of Ram.

I sure when the Nexus 9 gets updated again(end of 2015) it will have 3GB of Ram.

Im really curious about the iPad Pro, I love everything Apple but I think that if they just make a big iPad Air, I, as well as many other people will be very disappointed. Hopefully iOS 9 will include split screen multitasking and the iPad Pro will launch with it. Other then that I am really looking forward to the 6s, Rentina MacBook Air, and to see what Apple does with the Beats line of headphones and streaming music.
