Just one the new Xperia Z Tablet, providing its still 10 inches. Maybe a Surface Pro if MS re-introduce the 10 inch model alongside the current version.

I would like MS to re-introduce the 10 inch model as the 12 inch is too big for me.

But there are rumours that MS are going to make the new Surface Pro 4 bigger to like a 13/14 inch, i think that is too big for a tablet because it definitely beats the purpose of a tablet(mainly portability).

10" is for consumption while Microsoft is targeting the professional and corporate space. I would seriously consider a 13/14" as an upgrade from SP3.

As far as devices I'm looking forward to, already own the best combo Surface Pro 3 and Galaxy Note series phones and will consider a thinner Gear S 2 stand-alone watch with Android.

HTC M9
Apple Watch
Moto 360 II

That's pretty much it. Oh, and maybe the new iPhone...but we know that's probably have internal updates.

LG G4
Moto 360 v2
Moto X

In that order. I don't think LG gets enough credit for those impossibly-thin bezels (the latest screen they showed had them thinner than credit cards), great screens and battery life.

Moto 360 v2 mainly because second-generation iterations generally have vast improvements over the original.

The Nexus 9 has replaced both of Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 all togather.
So i don't think there will be another new Nexus 7.

I agree i was suprised the Nexus 9 only has 2GB of RAM considering the last gen Nexus 7(2012 and 2013) had 2GB of Ram.

I sure when the Nexus 9 gets updated again(end of 2015) it will have 3GB of Ram.

I still would say they need a new Nexus 7 since 2015 makes it two years and a lot of people buy smaller tablets. I mean I use the iPad Mini, but mine is sufficient enough to last me into 2016/2017, hopefully. I just got the R-Mini in May 2014. It's more than a niche if anything. The 9 is closer to the Air line if anything.

Can't compete against the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4" (equivalent to smaller iPad Air 2) which is selling for $199 at Best Buy and as low as $131 at Microcenter. For $131 it's very hard to pass up for couch surfing and much better than Nexus 7.

That's fine, but who knows if the price will remain stagnant since we are outside of Christmas 2014, where after Xmas sales occur because people return unwanted gifts. I mean the Galaxy Tab Pro is nice, but I feel like it's redundant to have two Samsung devices, so I chose the iPad to give myself a share of the iOS experience.

And here we go:

- retina MacBook Air
- Broadwell premium ultrabooks
- Skylake premium ultrabooks
- Android premium phones

Well, pretty much that. The iPhone 6s will probably be not a great surprise, as I think it will be similar to the current model but with a faster processor. I don't know about the next iPad either, as the pace of development of the apps has made me lose interest in the device (no real multi-tasking, no advanced features, still a basic device after so many years, almost a giant iPhone). The Apple Watch is not looking very promising for me either, as it does almost nothing for what it costs.

I'd replace my SP3 with a SP4 in a heartbeat if it was 13/14", although I will most definitely get the SP4 anyway regardless of what it has. That's one product that is so well made I'd gladly prepay for it today having no idea what specs it will have.

Interested to see the S6, M9, G4 but my money will most likely go to the Note 5, second choice being Nexus.

For me, 2015 won't be about eyeing certain brands but certain features each device might possess...

My next Android needs -

Lollipop
Double tap to wake screen or fingerprint scanner to wake like the back of the Huawei Ascend Mate 7...
Fast charging like the Oppo Find 7 series and Nexus 6
A 5-6 inch screen
IR blaster
Loud external speakers and internal audio
Good enough camera
Good battery life
Good design/ergonomics
Decent price

I have been eyeing the Sony Xperia Z series for years now. They have water/dust resistant to boot. But the price here is a huge turnoff and even more expensive than the Galaxy Note 4. I can buy THREE Xiaomi Mi 3's with some change leftover for a Asus Zenfone 5 for a single Xperia Z3 or Z3C.

It almost makes me sadder than words to say....nothing.....

I have my Note 4 which I need to last me for 2 years. I have an amazing tablet (Tab S) and even my obligatory apple product (iPad mini2). My mobile needs are completely met!

I have a pretty powerful gaming PC and my 2010 iMac is holding it's own really well....

Hell I even have a Kindle paperwhite.

it's depressing!!

im the same way, I feel set, I have a Note 4 which I just got two months ago, if that, an Ipad mini, macbook pro and just got a gear Live watch so not looking forward for any devices...

My top choice is really Sony Xperia Z4 as I am curious how Sony will change up the design this year. BUT it will probably only arrive at T-Mobile or Sprint. Sony has very little presence in the US market for nearly a decade now.

Apple - The "s" cycle is what I prefer now. The 6s will likely look more of the same of the current 6 but with improved internal hardware and Apple focusing more on iOS.

Samsung - Obviously how much Samsung will change up TouchWiz and design of the S6 as they seem to disappoint me almost every year and leave all the best stuff for their Note series.

HTC - Will the M9 finally correct the interior photo qualities that have plagued the One series since the M7? And can HTC offer water-resistance with a metal design like they did for the Butterfly 2?

LG - One of the first to offer QHD but I am curious if they learned from some of the mistakes from the G3 like inefficient battery life and correct them with the G4? This is one of those companies on the upswing. Knowing my timing in Aug, G4 is actually in my Top 3 wishlist vs the likes of S6 and M9.

Oppo - One of the few brands along with Samsung and LG that provided a REMOVABLE battery in their flagship last year. Also FAST CHARGING. I want that for my next phone.

OnePlus - Was a surprise hit of last year. How will the sequel to the 1+1 do next and how much? The sequel might go smaller.

Xiaomi - Mi 5 will be announced on the 15th of this month. Obviously their biggest attraction is price for amazing specs now that the Nexus 6 has a huge price tag. Question is when will Xiaomi finally head to more Western markets. I also would like to see more originality from Xiaomi. Something more than just low prices.

Huawei - This company has slowly improved their SoC and custom Android skin with the Emotion UI. And they surprised me with the Mate 7 with the 4100 mAh battery and rear fingerprint scanner that works better than the HTC One Max.

Gionee - Very curious how thin they will go this year?
And curious what their breakaway company IUNI will offer next?

Lenovo - Not really interested in them but they can always surprise. I do like the Yoga tablets and laptops.

Google Nexus - I am curious of the naming scheme knowing Asus already made the Nexus 7's. This is one of those later releases by Oct/Nov, so by then I probably have upgraded already.

Motorola - Moto X (2013) really interested me. Moto X (2014) did NOT. Same can apply to the Moto G of 2013 vs 2014. Alot of the Moto X's best features were really software-based. The hardware differentiation is not there for me and I don't mean just Moto Maker. Still I wonder how good Motorola brings it now that they are owned by the #1 PC maker of the world.

Sony - Check at the very top. They excel in two areas that my current M7 does not. Battery life & camera. But price also means alot to me. Knowing Z4 probably will never get subsidized in my preferred carrier (AT&T), I have to start looking elsewhere. I am not planning to buy a $800 unlocked phone when I can easily get a Xiaomi and Oppo for far less.

Not really interested in Nokia or BlackBerry.

Based on the timing of my upgrade (Aug 2015)
1. HTC One M9
2. LG G4
3. Samsung Galaxy S6

I might actually go S6 if it has a nice metal design like the Alpha series which is rumored and water-resistant if the other two lack that. Plus I miss having a removable battery for more longevity. But I probably couldn't go wrong with the other two either. Avengers: Age of Ultron will be one of the biggest movies of the year along with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, so why not support the sponsor in SAMSUNG? I just hope Samsung can finally revamp TouchWiz and make things more simpler and cleaner.

I think I am more interested in seeing the HTC One M9 and even this year's iPhone.

I got some good info on the new Flagship device from HTC last night. I play basketball with the guy who runs the blog HTCSource.com and he was just back from CES and had quite a few meetings with HTC out there.

Looks like they will finally be ditching their ultrapixel camera on the back in favor of a 20MP rear shooter and adding a 5 ultrapixel camera to the front. 3GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 810 chip. Still 1080p screen res.

In this order:

LG G4
HTC M9
Galaxy S6
Sony Z4

and maybe the iPhone 6s.

The one I was expecting is out already - Xiaomi Mi Note Pro.

One of these mobiles will be my next. I am jumping ship after 4 years of iOS I think. Not that I'm disappointed, just want a change of scenery.

If G4 stays within non-phablet category - I'm sold.
If Z4 lower that underscreen footprint - I'm sold.
If S6 goes away from plastic - I'm sold.
And if finally HTC vastly improve the camera - I'm sold.

Main criteria:

Performance
Design
Camera
Battery
Android interface

Interesting year to behold...

As the LG G4 is supposed to feature a 5,3" display, I am really looking forward to it, because I really like LG's slim bezels and 5,3" seems to be the perfect screen size to me.

Why no compact such as Z1/Z3 Compact?
Galaxy Alpha production has been ended
There are only two compact models on the market: Z3 Compact and iPhone 6
In Europe, most of users have phones between 4 and 4'7
5 inches tend to be more popular, i reckon but phablets still take a minority of market parts
I am sick of bigger screens, why asian manufacturers think people love bigger screen size?
Stats show the contrary in Europe, maybe same in US

New Retina Macbook Air

From top to bottom:
Sony Z4/Z4c
Moto X / Nexus
LG G4/G Flex2
iPhone 6s/6+s

I'll still follow Samsung and HTC's offerings but they don't really jump out for me. I'll also follow Chinese manufacturer options but won't consider them.

Battery life/stand by time is probably the top criteria for me. Camera is probably #2 as I plan on taking many photos. Build quality, good reception, close to stock OS, cost are other factors. After going from a GNex to iPhone 5s, I'm craving a larger screen but I don't want something so massive.

Looking to get my first phone for international travel/off-contract sometime this year. Due to when I plan on leaving, it seems like I may settle with a 2014 model (N6?), or this year's LG or Sony's flagships.
