My tracking has not updated in what seems like forever. It's said "in transit Lantau Island, HK" for over a day now.

I ordered an iPad Pro 12.9 from Helsinki, Finland on June 6 and it's been in the "processing items" phase ever since. Delivery still estimated to be 14 Jun - 21 Jun.

I also called them two times just to be sure everything is ok, I just dont understand how the order they process the purchases.

I am so frustrated! My iPad got shipped out yesterday (6/14) with an original delivery day of 6/16 via next day shipping. I got my tracking number this morning and it turns out that I am going to be receiving the iPad on 6/19 via Worldwide Express Saver! I never authorized a change in deliver method and the expectation was set that I'd receive it on the 16th, that is why I ordered it when I did. I contacted Apple and all they told me was since the iPad is being shipped from over seas, next day isn't an option...

Yeah, this is all very odd. Seems like they provided more than adequate amounts of units in their stores but for people ordering online were not prepared. This is kind of a joke. I could have gotten whatever's I wanted yesterday in a store...instead I'm stuck waiting on China.

Same here. What I don’t understand is why I was told a delivery date of the 16th and now I’m having it delivered on the 19th. The shipping method changed. If I knew this was going to happen, I would’ve just waited to be able to do in store pickup.

A little late to the party, but after over a week of contemplation I finally placed an order for a 64gb Space Grey WiFi model. Been without an iPad for almost a year and kept feeling compelled to get another as I miss my Air 2. I wouldn't say I particularly need one but can't certainly justify some use cases; mainly browsing and media consumption with a view to doing some note taking (I've held back on the apple pencil for now as I have an adonis jot pro from a few years ago I'll use to see if it's worth investing in an apple pencil).

All being well it should be with me tomorrow.

Pretty amazing. All Apple Stores around me are out of stock of the iPad Pros now.

Apple underestimated demand for the new iPad Pros this time around. The backlog is now all the way till end June / early July.

Ah.... you are correct. Some of the models are available, so it looks like it's mostly about predicting the popularity of the models. The top end ones - 512 cellular - are mostly unavailable.

Yea I could be wrong but I think they get new stock in daily so maybe have a look early every morning until they have the one you want in stock. I'm not plannng on getting one until August because I'm waitin until as close to iOS 11 as I can get, but by then they should be back in stock as most people will have brought one.

Who also likes to share and watch the order/shipping status of new iPad Pros?
This thread should help us to reduce the waiting period and provide us some insight about the shipping process & times.

I ordered 12,9" iPad Pro Wi‑Fi + Cellular 256 GB – Silber directly after keynote - current status:

"Processing Items" - estimated delivery to Düsseledorf, Germany on 13th June. Credit Card not yet charged.

PS: Upgrading from iPad Pro 9,7" Wi‑Fi + Cellular 128 GB – Silber.
[doublepost=1497462290][/doublepost]Purchased a 9.7 then heard about the 10.5. Traded in right away on 06/09 They said it would be here by the 13th. I have checked for updates so often I memorized my tracking number. I thought I was the only person this hung up.

Stuck in "In Progress" since 6th. Nothing changed. I'm from Germany.

I ordered iPad Pro 12.9 256gb Wifi on apple.de. Someone else have same problem? Something wrong maybe?

Mine has now dispatched and is due to arrive tomorrow. Ordered a Smart Cover on a second order (decided later on I wanted that rather than the current third party offerings) and that was due for delivery Friday but they've also shipped that and it's due for delivery tomorrow.

I am never ordering from apple again. I placed my order for a 12.9" 256 wifi silver on 6/8. 6/12 it shipped from china, del date of 6/16, went to TW (Taiwan?) on 6/13, changed del date to 6/19 and today still in TW and shows an Alert, Delay beyond control with del date Pending. And my card has been charged for $959. This is the biggest bunch of crap. Why do we buy these things made in china anyway, we dont touch anything else made in china! Never again!

I’m a bit upset as well. My iPad was supposed to be delivered on the 16th. It finally shipped out yesterday and now it is supposed be delivered on the 19th. It’s stuck in Chengdu, China right. What really upsets me that the Apple site shows “next day delivery” for the 19th. Today is Wednesday the 14th.

@IPadNParadise, @Stephencovar - best to chill haha. I'm in the same boat as you guys, got one iPad 10.5" stuck in Chengdu and another iPad 12.9" in Lantau Island HK. Seems like it'll only come next week?

Best get it direct from the Apple Store if you want it ASAP - otherwise just find something else to do, don't make your life revolve around an expected delivery. Apple actually has some of the most elaborate supply chains out there - it's just that... well there's a reason why they are so rich - the demand for their products is always a pain for consumers.

I was pretty sure something like this would happen, but I had a corporate discount I wanted to use, so I was willing to let it slide. Trust me - it's just that you won't get it before XXX people for maybe a week, after a while no one will care. Best to keep things in perspective ;)

You’re right. I just get very excited and can’t wait to have one.

Ha ha - well put. I'm in the same boat - a little pissed that when I placed the order it showed "next day", only to discover it's coming on a slow boat from China, so to speak. I did call Apple - mainly just to see why it had changed. The rep was very apologetic and said I needed to be compensated for the inconvenience and $100 was credited back to my card. I don't mind waiting a few extra days for some savings!

Ordered: Soon as I have a thousand bucks to spare (translation: never).
Got it: As soon as I ordered.
Thoughts: It is the most amazing device I have ever owned, so glad with my purchase, so worth the money!
