The only reason I kept my 9.7” Pro was because I had a feeling a major redesign was coming in March or June 2018. Just think. And I’ll leave out the HDR OLED Display.
#1. A11X 6 or 8 Core CPU
#2. Low power DDR4 RAM
#3. New LG Chem Lipobattery
#4. Apple Pencil 2
#5. Improved 120hz ProMotion
#6. Redesigned body thinner lighter
#7. Face ID
#8. Dual Yes Dual Cameras
#9. Possible glass back and wireless charging but hoping not
#10. Bluetooth 5.0 finally.
I purchased my 10.5” iPad Pro in June 2017, but honestly think I may well upgrade if the 2018 models do come with Face ID.
Any others who recently purchased an iPad Pro considering the same? Or would that not be worth it?
I would love to see how small of a package they can squeeze a 12.9" screen into. If it's not too much bigger than the current 10.5", I'm in. OLED won't be here on iPads until 2019 at best.
If the 10.5 got no bigger in overall size, the biggest the screen can be is 11.8” while maintaining the same aspect ratio.

What are your impressions on iOS 11.2? I’m very satisfied finally, but concerned at how buggy these iOS 11 releases have been to create these performance issues. I mean if its that bad to begin with (on the most powerful devices no less) maybe Apple needs to rethink their release schedule for these updates. I would not mind waiting till November for each version of iOS if it meant it would be stable and 98% of highest performance potential of devices (no major stuttering or lock ups). It’s getting old to have these same issues/patterns every year.I've been down that road as well. This is why my current iOS devices will be my last if Apple doesn't make some changes. I don't say that with any animosity or anger, just stating a fact. When the time comes to replace what I currently have, I'll determine what alternatives are out there. I already have some promising options.
Overall, I think that iOS 11.x is a step backward. It might seem contradictory to conclude that ADDING features would cause something to go BACKWARD, but in this case that what I'm seeing. What are your impressions on iOS 11.2? Probably Monday but “early next week” according to Apple Support.I was looking forward to that Apple Pay system that is similar to PayPal. I thought we were supposed to get that with 11.2. Any ideas on when we’re getting that now?

So what would you guys rather have? Same size body of the current 12.9, but make the screen as large as possible, or same size screen as the current 12.9 but make the body as small as possible? I think I’d choose the latter, but only if the corresponding ASK would be just as comfortable to type on.
Pun intended.I want the screen size in as small a form factor possible. The 12.9 is ginormous, comically so TBH. I don't think they'd release an 11.8" iPad, maybe a 12".
Either way, I'm very curious to see what they end up with.

Probably won't be getting a future iPad pro.
I can't see apple philosophy changing away from ukta portable , low powered devices, for simplifed workflows . For that niche the 9.7 still works just fine .
To get me compelled to upgrade , I need a far better stylus experience , 8-16 GB ram, system wide ICC profile ability , and the power of desktop software . I don't see that happening anytime soon.
Luckily the windows tablets are several years ahead in this department . Who knows though , maybe someday apple will release a more pro ipad pro. Or at least the ability to turn the ipad into a monitor.
