2021 iMac order thread

Orange 512/16 shipped via FedEx. Apple showing Monday 24th delivery(was showing 21 before that). Fedex showing pending date. Hope it will be 21st.

I assume UPS will require a signature upon delivery. If no one is home when they try to deliver it they will usually leave a yellow notice on your door and they will try and deliver it the following day or you can call and arrange to pick it up. I had to pickup a PC that I missed delivery on like 5 years ago and had to meet the driver somewhere lol

y ou would think (regarding a signature) but apple still shows the whole contact free delivery when you order so who knows? not too smart to leave a something they know is that expensive on a porch! guess we'll find out friday (or when delivered).

Got my shipping email from Apple on my Yellow 2TB/16GB with mouse, trackpad and numeric keyboard overnight. Apple says delivery on 5/24. Checking UPS tracking number says delivery on 5/21. Hoping for 5/21, but can live with 5/24. It will be what it will be.

Mine finally changed within the last hour or so to Preparing for Shipping (to Virginia)!

Yeah FedEx, but interestingly FedEx say the 21st. At the end of the day either is fine with me lol.

How did you see the date for FedEx? When I checked my tracking information this morning fedex said they didn’t have a delivery estimate yet

Yeah it was the same for me last night but this morning it updated to show a date.

Whew! Finally received my preparing for shipment notice! Woot woot!

Shipped. Apple says expected delivery May 24 but fingers crossed for May 21st.

Just got my AppleCare proof of coverage email including my serial number. Thought this was funny, looks like even though Apple calls it "pink" on the website and in the marketing, AppleCare calls it "red."

I would call it rose gold and red. We’re in the minority as only the orange has sold fewer.

One question: Does anyone know how to view the fully-detailed view of tracking progress on UPS.com? It used to show exactly where my package was at any given moment, but the UPS tracking Apple.com is linking to just shows that the package is “On the way.”

UPS has been doing contactless delivery at my house for a while now. Is only meant that they need to visibly see someone when dropping off the package so they’ve been knocking, making eye contact, and then taking off.

UPS My Choice is decent. Some 3rd party sites get super detailed, not sure if UPS changes their API though. I remember parcelmonitor.com being really good before, not sure if that’s still the case.

Got my shipping notice as well. Strange that it's FedEx. My Apple stuff has always been UPS. I didn't know FedEx did international. Guess that's a change. In any event, FedEx says delivery the 24th but then it also says Pending. Hoping for the 21st but it's okay if it's the 24th. At least I know is going through now. EXCITED!

Since I'm estimated for 3rd June too, your post made me check my credit card, and the payment is showing as pending now (wasn't showing at all before today), so that's promising. Wonder if we could get as early as the 24th or if it'll likely be the earlier part of the window we were first given, which was 27th for me.

It's weird, I have UPS My Choice, but all I get is the attached view. Clicking "View Details" just shows the package weight, tracking number, etc. Are you all able to see exactly where your package currently is?

It's weird, I have UPS My Choice, but all I get is the attached view. Clicking "View Details" just shows the package weight, tracking number, etc. Are you all able to see exactly where your package currently is?

I haven't tried being logged in on a web browser and viewing it, but current location shows in their app. Latest update for me is that it departed from facility in Shanghai at 4:29 PM today (Shanghai time, I assume)

In the past during Covid (M1 Mini), UPS would deliver but makes sure someone is seen (the driver jots down description of person) before dropping off at the house and ringing the doorbell.

Since this time no one is at the house during the day (except for my dogs), I am having it delivered to my workplace.

Will have to see if they can deliver before 4pm because our business location closes then......?
