Another UK order here that's just moved into Preparing to Ship. Still currently saying delivery on June 4th but presume that'll change once it moves into Shipped. Hopefully it won't be stuck at preparing for too long...

Apple delivery updates should update as soon as it ships, my AirTags said delivery May 18th, until they were despatched a week earlier and the estimated updated.
My iMac is showing as 27th May but gotta imagine it'll ship tomorrow for Friday delivery... he says... hopefully.

Anyone else stuck in May 24-28 estimate and in processing? Green 1Tb/16Gb for US delivery, first time I have preordered from Apple. Seeing a lot of comments with estimates after mine that are in preparing to ship status but still no updates on mine.

2 more days for me! Been sitting in Memphis for 4 days now. 😕 Hope mine is comfy and sitting next to a pretty colored one. :)

Same here. I see they scan it like once a day. they must all be chilling on a pallet and have someone go around and scan all the labels.

I ordered from BEST BUY on the pre-order day. They are saying on the website that it will be next Wednesday instead of Friday. I am really hoping that they just said that to CYA. I think Best Buy gets its own stock early just like other big box stores. Hopefully, I see a shipping notification today or tomorrow.

I think you are overthinking it. This happens to me all the time on launch day iPhones orders. They still get to me on day promised.

My green iMac (16GB RAM, 1TB SSD) just switched to preparing to ship. I'm based in the Netherlands.

Since the delivery estimate was 28th May - 2nd June, I'm hoping that means it will be delivered early (or at least on the early end of the original time frame).
Silver, same specs but still on processing for the Netherlands. Estimate still says 28 may. insert sad face.

Mine just moved to Preparing to ship as well. 16GB/512GB Orange headed to Dubai. Delivery is between May 27- Jun 2

I ordered a purple iMac on release day. After seeing the unboxing videos I decided I prefer the green over the purple so I contacted Apple to see if they could swap them out since my delivery isn’t scheduled until late June. They said they couldn’t help me and I’d have to cancel my pre-order and go through the process all over again. So I just ordered a green one that’s coming in July.
I did the same when I realized that there was a numeric keyboard available. They couldn't even change that without my cancelling the order and starting over. So I didn't cancel my order.

Any one else still seeing a discrepancy in the delivery estimate between Apple and FedEx (for those being shipped using FedEx)? Apple says "Arrives Monday May 24" (though the Apple Store App says between May 21 and May 27), while FedEx says "Scheduled Delivery: Friday, May 21 by 12:00 p.m." (currently located in Memphis, TN heading to NYC). I'm not sure which to place more trust in.
Same. Have had this for prior devices. Always trust the delivery guys!

Does the method of delivery matter, I don't recall being able to select, however I have one with Express (21-27 May) and one Standard (28 May to 4 June) Both now showing Preparing to Ship.

9to5Mac:
"According to multiple sources, including Jon Prosser who has a good track record of nailing these release dates, Apple will release the new iMac, iPad Pro with M1 and the upgraded Apple TV 4K with revamped Siri Remote on May 21.

The May 21st date was first reported by Prosser a few days ago, with an implication that the 11-inch would launch one day later on May 22nd. Prosser has updated his original comment to say that the 22nd date was inaccurate.

Since then, other retailers have also started reporting a May 21 release date. For instance, the product pages for the 24-inch iMac on the website of UK retailer (and Apple authorized reseller) John Lewis informs customers that the new iMac models will be available then.
I can’t see that anywhere on the John Lewis site?

So my iMac that was estimated to ship between May 24-28 now says canceled when I log in to the portal. I didn't cancel this, and I was wondering why it still had not yet shipped. Anyone have any idea or had this happen before? I'm reaching out to Apple support but this is quite odd.

EDIT - Here was what Apple sent me. Very strange as I never received any emails asking for verification other than the initial one... and the solution is to reorder it which will push my shipping time out 4-6 weeks. "My apologies, however, it seems some info could not be verified and as a security measure the order was cancelled. Apple does not publicly discuss internal processes for orders which means I cannot see what exactly needs verification."

YIKES! Could there have been a problem with your payment system? I'd check with your Credit card Co. to see if they can enlighten you with any info.

I wonder if your bank flagged the charge as fraud and that's what caused it to get cancelled

I checked with them, the payment went through initially and then went away (like a lot of people described). Everything was fine on the end of the credit card company, and I also have it set up so they will text/call me if they suspect fraud so I can approve and never heard anything there either. I checked with Apple just yesterday and they said everything was fine with my order and it should ship anytime, then today I check and see it canceled.

Or sometimes if Apple thinks the purchase was for resale or a duplicate order, they have been known to cancel.

I used the EDU discount but I only ordered 1 of them, and it is the first time I have preordered anything directly from Apple.

Very strange. Have you recently had any address changes?
