I also ordered using the EDU channel.
Did your card get charged (not pre-authorized) ??
That's what is strange, it was charged within a day or two after I ordered it, I called in yesterday and they said everything was fine and it would ship anytime then today when they went to ship it they said they couldn't and the order was canceled. I called and spoke to a manager who said there is absolutely nothing they can do to help me, and if I want it I just have to reorder it online and wait for one to come in July.
Mine was charged immediately when I placed the pre-order and showed up in my Apple Card as a pending charge to an installment payment.
Then when it shipped earlier this week, I saw my $52 Apple Cash (3%) in my Apple Cash account.
Did you get a snapshot of your original charge ?
Did you use the Apple Card to pay installments or to pay in full ?
So i just spoke to apple support about my order which is for delivery on the 14th, my iMac will be leaving on the 8th of June.. I understand it's a build to order, but that's like 6 weeks since I placed the order and payment has probably been taken

I don't have an Apple Card, used a Visa one and they always email and/or call if there is a charge that needs verification. They confirmed too nothing on their end so I'm baffled as to why it was canceled and I was told just yesterday everything was fine. Oh well, there isn't anything that can be done now.
I see B&H photo has some and they're estimating starting shipping May 24th, but the rep I spoke with there said they had no idea how many Apple would send them so there's no guarantee things would ship on time. Anyone have any alternate websites that might have the Green 1TB/16GB available within a reasonable timeframe, outside of Apple? Should I give B&H Photo a shot and try to order from them?
Yeah I didn’t cancel my order either. I wonder if we can exchange them within the 15 day return window?

i think they are on a pallet with ONE master tracking number that gets scanned and all the individual tracking numbers are attached to that one main number. i think the ups/fedex system is just slower at getting ALL the individuals processed.

They only offer up to 512Gb it looks like, I'm hoping to get the 1Tb SSD but other than B&H it looks like most other retailers don't sell it or say timeline unknown due to it being a BTO. Not sure if I can trust the timeline B&H is giving either.
I’ve never had a preorder ship via fedex before. I am guessing that iMacs that are in Memphis will start to move again this afternoon if they are going to get to people by noon on Friday. Anyone ever have a preorder ship via fedex before?

This time the M1 iMacs and iPad are being split into 2 separate carriers again - FED-EX & UPS.
My iMac is shipping via UPS and is sitting in Louisville, KY until tomorrow when it ships out to LAX....
they probably won't move until tomorrow evening or even friday overnight
Mine too. Blue, 8/8/512 to the east coast. Changed to 'preparing to ship' on Sunday, and nothing since.
If yours shows 'express shipping' there's still hope because some units will be staged for fast distribution. I'm not assuming mine will get here Friday though, but it really doesn't matter a whole lot either way!
So frustrating. I already know tomorrow is just going to be waiting mode for me
I think I will just take an Ambien tomorrow and wakeup on Friday.

I.e does it mean that the item has been passed from factory to delivery carrier or that it’s been received at a major hub or is it just a stage in Apple’s processing of orders and payments that doesn’t really give any indication where your computer is really at in the world?
I’m beginning to suspect my excitement at moving to ‘preparing to ship’ is just going to turn into a weekend of staring at that status!!!
