2021 iMac order thread

I didn’t even realize could get the keyboard with the numeric keypad, so I canceled my first order and replaced it; fortunately still have the May 21-27 delivery window:

Had such a hard time deciding between green, yellow and silver. Went with green but the yellow is surprisingly nice never thought i would consider a yellow computer!

silver is timeless classic but thought ill try to be a little less boring ( my wife really wanted a color haha )

As a mini M1 owner I can confirm it is definitely worth it! Especially if you’re doing anything more that web browsing.

Keep an eye on your order - Apple tends to cancel one if it looks like a duplicate order.

They have done that in the past with the iPhone 12 and M1 Mini launches....

I contacted Apple support via iMessage and got a confirmation that they have received my order for both of the identical iMacs I ordered.

Thank you again for the tip about them possibly canceling the second item in a two-identical-item order.

I might have gone without it, but I checked when ordering and the trackpad add-on combined with 8GB still resulted in a delay.

I really wanted to hold out for a larger one, but in the end could not justify something that will be considerably more expensive when this will do everything I need.

The painful part is the wait (5-6 weeks ) I tried various color combos to see if it could go shorter, but the only options were blue and silver. Boring.

Yellow because that's the only color that will look good from both front and back.

Apple delivery times are pretty accurate.
Sometimes they will surprise you - I got my M1 Mini a day earlier than quoted.
My M1 Mini came from Ontario, CA instead of China which was strange as most others got theirs from overnight express from China....

Yes, I’m the UK 16gb seems to have added on a week pretty well right from when orders opened.

I got my order in for 16gb/2tb/trackpad and numeric keyboard and had a delivery date of 27th to 3rd June. My account now says 3rd June, so I’m hoping that it does come earlier than that.

I’m my experience, preorders that have a date after release day often do come forward.

I would say the chances are good that it will come a bit earlier than that. Maybe a couple of days.

16GB/1TB orange with the numeric keyboard and trackpad. Have more than enough external thunderbolt storage if I ever need more.

purple 16gb - June for me. Hyped. I don't do much besides some photo editing and stock trading these days so it'll work for me.

Anyone else go with a VESA option? I already have a mount set up from a previous monitor, so opting against the stand.

And the warranty by using their Citi Costco card gives you 4 years ???

Makes me want to cancel my Apple store order for the warranty but the 0% for 12 months is nice and the $199 Pro Apps bundle was a steal....

Yep. They are stating week of May 31st (when I ordered though). Costco doubles the warranty (concierge) and then Citi doubles that. Too bad they don't offer 16GB options, but for my parents 8GB is fine.
