So Calif
2 months from the date of orders according to the business team.
That makes sense - let the normal paying customers (more profit margin) first then after the initial wave quiets down, offer the discounted EPP customers....

I just got a measly $50 discount on EDU...

Based on the shipping times, it seems like the weirder colors may be more popular than they were anticipating?
Shipping times are not necessarily an indicator, as they may not be producing as many in those colours either.

Generally, all the shipping times indicate is whether apple under or overestimated the number of orders of a particular type in comparison to the others.

Yes, saved $50 on EDU base price ($1249) plus $51 on Apple Card 3% instant cash back.

Not bad for $101 savings so I bought the Pro Apps Bundle (Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Motion, Compressor, MainStage) for $199.99.

Already showing on my Wallet App - Apple Card:

Delivery to my school site is a bonus since UPS / FED-EX won't leave it on my doorstep at my house....
i meant the 0% financing. that showed in your original post. i got the 10% veteran's discount and the 3% apple card cash back.... but the 0% financing isn't available in the veteran's store.

@CarletonTorpin
Keep an eye on your order - Apple tends to cancel one if it looks like a duplicate order.

They have done that in the past with the iPhone 12 and M1 Mini launches....
i ultimately ordered 3 but all three are different. one order (first order) was the pink and blue with different size hard drives.... but then second guessing the pink cuz sometimes apple's pink looks more salmon..... i ordered that one in blue (which is still different then the original blue one since that's 1 TB and the 2nd blue is 2 TB so i hope that doesn't happen. of course if the pink arrives and i love the color i'll cancel the 2nd blue if it hasn't shipped already.

Blue 8 core model with 16GB ram and 1TB storage here. Also got the num keypad keyboard upgrade. €2385.
Delivery June 2 ?

I actually missed the keyboard upgrade option initially and ordered with a standard Dutch keyboard, which pushed the delivery window out to June 24 - July 1 ? lucky I noticed and could cancel on time.

Funny. There was 9 mins in between my first canceled order and my new one. I’m guessing the order numbers are assigned sequentially. If so, Apple processed 1,037,320 orders in those 9 mins….!

Ordered at 3 minutes past but trackpad and 16GB seems to have delayed it.

UK.

when I was playing around with the configurations after I ordered (I have no explanation for why someone would do that other than I really need a life), adding the track pad actually shortened the delivery time in the UK!

Picked up the base model in Silver with the Touch ID / Numeric keyboard. May 21 - 27. I like the Orange iMac but don't need the extra ports or Ethernet.

If you have a sit/stand desk, VESA mounts are a necessity for proper ergonomics.
I really should have done that but did not. I generally put my monitors on some type of riser (books, usually) for a compromise position.

Looks like the green with 16 gigs of ram is getting pushed to late June. It's telling me June 15th - 22nd. Kind of makes me want to go with blue if I'm honest.

Thanks for starting this thread @caligurl - I asked the moderator to make it a sticky!

And 10% military discount is very good price - it's same as employee pricing!

Since I only got a 4% discount, but did get 0% Apple Card financing, I guess it's still a good deal either way...

I didn't use my edu discount. I paid with my Apple Card so I guess the 3% discount is tallied at shipping time?
I believe you get it on your Apple Card credit card statement.

Blue
16 GB Ram
512 GB SSD
Magic Keyboard with Numpad
Magic Mouse
Magic Trackpad

Delivery date 5/21 - 5/27

For those of you who have pre ordered from apple before when do they usually charge your card? I expected them to charge my card when I placed my order but to my surprise they didn't.

I went with the Blue iMac 8/8, 16gb/512gb SSD with just the mouse and keyboard (no keypad). Delivery estimate is May 21-27.

I was going to go with the 1TB drive, but the shipping estimate slipped to mid june and I really need a new mac, so I just kept it at 512gb. I'll probably pick up a nice external hard drive and use that for some of the programs I need.

On the internet!
Am i the only one who is gonna buy the 7 core gpu and put 16gb ram, 512gb drive and add the Touch ID as option, as I’d rather save 200 bucks than to have 10% extra gpu performance and 2 usb, not even thunderbolt ports? ?

Other cards may get pre-authorization / hold but Apple Card has already charged me and showing in my installments page:

Unless you plan on doing some heavy video production work or large photo editing - the 7 core is more than enough.

I got the base model 7 core GPU but got Ethernet and full sized keyboard options.

Base M1 is more than I need so 8GB Unified memory actually performs like a 32GB or 64GB system!
