Hmm checking my order page it just shows it as processing. I don't have an Apple Card so just used my debit card, but as of right now they have not charged me or anything.
we'll probably be processing for a couple of weeks.... probably won't see movement til the weekend before launch.

I cancelled my original 5:05 am order to add the numpad keyboard and was still able to get launch week delivery by adding the 512SSD. I was contemplating it anyways, I just removed the 50 extra on the Magic Trackpad since I already have one (albeit in silver)

new order is

Blue 16gb/512gb/8x8
magic keyboard with numpad
magic mouse
ordered at 7pm PST and retained May 21 delivery.

12 months deferred with Apple Card also.

UGH..... since i'm concerned about the pink being peach..... i also ordered a blue 16/2 TB.

it's scheduled for 1-8 jun. if i get the pink and like it... i should still have time to cancel the blue. if i hate the pink.... i'm not stuck waiting weeks (months?) to get a blue by that time.....
the pink part is gonna be like the rose gold ipad air and pink airpods max 100 percent you should check those out if you dont already own

Blue 16/1TB within ten minutes of orders opening.
Original delivery estimate 27th May to 3rd June. Now 3rd June.
Melbourne (UK)

This is my exact configuration (I’v got a trackpad though). Confirmation email received within 5 minutes of orders starting and I’ve also got the same 3rd of June date. I’m UK too.

Always hopeful it’ll come sooner but I hoped that when ordering my last Apple Watch and it ended up coming on the day Apple said it would. I’m sure I’ll be just as obsessively tracking my new iMacs progress around the world once it starts to move! (And checking for any changes in the order status every day even though I know nothings actually gonna change for ages!)

UK here. Got my confirmation email through at 13:04 and mine originally said 28th May - 4th June, now the online tracker says delivers 4th June.

Ordered the yellow 256gb with 16gb ram and the Magic Trackpad. Missed the numeric keyboard option but I will live with the smaller one. Coming from a 2011 27” which runs off a thunderbolt ssd and is brilliant for a 10 year old machine, but couldn’t resist the yellow colour and new form factor.

My indecisiveness isn't good. The option I think I want has an estimated delivery of 15 - 22 June. Though I wonder if their estimates are deliberately a bit longer than it's likely to take, so then it looks good if they deliver 'early'.

If I choose the option to trade in my current iMac presumably I don't need to do that until my new iMac arrives?

I went with green after initially deciding on yellow. Biggest bummer is the dates are mid-June delivery!

Purple 512. I am torn on whether to upgrade to 16GB even though I don’t really have a use case to need that much RAM lol.
I definitely don’t need the 16GB of RAM but I ordered it anyway for the future. I plan on having this iMac for at least 5 years. Plus my wife’s a photographer and even though she much prefers to edit images on her iPad Pro, she wants to use full Adobe on the iMac occasionally.

That is really tempting for that bundle ... if I were a more sophisticated educator! But I am an engineering educator.

I always order the base model and use my school district NAS storage server + unlimited Google cloud storage for my stuff so I rarely fill up a 256GB drive....
All I use is a base model + 2 TB iCloud + HDD(I like slow). If I go to a new school then I will likely have a different type of set-up.

I didn't use my edu discount. I paid with my Apple Card so I guess the 3% discount is tallied at shipping time?
Why didn't I use my edu discount? Leaving the school ... so I thought that would be unfair.

Totally irrelevant, but isn’t the Mini better than the iMac? I mean they have same chip and Miki has more ports. You can always buy a separate keyboard, mouse, and display???
I like the iMac screen ... as well as their full package coming all together. I do have a mini but it seems it is just a problem selecting the correct combination of everything ... using my small brain.

i don't have either and the store is over an hour away.... if we get down there next weekend, i'll make it a point to get to the apple store.

do you have them? is the dark part of the AirPods more red or more salmony/orangy? looking at pics of the pods vs the new iMac online the colors look different for the dark (more magenta-y for iMac more orange for pods)

Pink 16GB,1TB with extended keyboard, for my wife. I am making do with M1Mini until larger M1 iMacs come out later this year.
In Adelaide AU, delivery date is 31 May - 7 June.

You should be able to update your order online to change the keyboard.
They are usually pretty good with things like that which haven't got into the shipping cycle.

Exactly this. If I spec the mini how I want it and factor in the cost of a comparable display and peripherals (I haven’t owned a desktop in a long time and would be starting from scratch), the price difference isn’t even that big. Add in weird compatibility and bluetooth issues people have been experiencing and it winds up not being worth the potential frustration.

I’m at the point in my life where I don’t feel compelled to do any tinkering- I just want to boot up and go. That’s the biggest appeal of an all-in-one.

Yes, you can always call Apple online order folks and have them change the color, peripherals, computer itself, and change shipping address.

Now the wait starts - the long excruciating wait to change from "Processing" to "Preparing to Ship".

i do, the red part is definitely gonna be different. the red part of the band is almost coral so im sure the red they are going with for the imac is a deeper red. as for the pink part since apple likes to reuse materials and color match its gonna be the same as the ipad air and cups of the airpods max

Ordered a blue, 16GB / 1TB model. Been saving for almost a year and a half, waiting for this iMac. I haven't had a desktop in 10 years - I sold my iMac and iPad in 2011 and bought a MacBook Air. Sold that in 2016 for the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar, which was a solid machine until 2020, and it had the backlight fail, then some keys failed, then it wouldn't power on. Fortunately, all were covered under repair programs, and after the last repair, I traded it in to Apple and bought an M1 MacBook Air.

This Air is a fantastic computer, but even with a Thunderbolt hub and 27" Dell monitor, it's a poor substitute for a desktop. Especially on video calls when the MacBook Air camera is in front of me but I have to turn my head to the 27" to view documents or presentations. (I've tried every possible setup of the Air and Dell, and it's always an awkward camera angle if I have to look at the Dell.)

I had hoped it would keep the six ports of the previous-generation iMac, so I could connect all my peripherals directly, but I'll just use the Thunderbolt dock. May 21 - 27 can't get here fast enough!
