Need to see silver in person but judging by the pics, it looks brilliant. Tbf all the colours look amazing. Which config did you end up getting?

how would you describe the colors? Is green minty, orange more copper and pink more muted than the Apple Website suggests? Unfortunately I can’t look at these macs in person :(.
Yeah, the green on the chin is kinda (light) minty. I'm kinda wondering if I might have liked the blue better but this computer is awesome, so no complaints. FWIW, silver would have been too much like my old computer so I'm glad I didn't go for that. I really like the green color of the stand and the dark teal back side.

Coming from a 2014 27" iMac, there are lots of changes and improvements and a much better look. Better "clickier" feel to the keyboard, and a nicer looking trackpad (though the trackpad seems to function just the same as the old one). The screen size seems just right for me; it's not hogging the desk like my old iMac did.

Well, back to setting up. I'm setting up as new this time rather than using migration assistant, so it'll take some serious time to get everything adjusted right.

Best wishes for speedy delivery, everyone.

I do have one complaint.... my god but the cables STINK! I kinda expected it, as I had to air out my iPad Pro lightening cable when it came... I don't have that choice with the iMac since it needs to be plugged in to work.

Ordered a Blue, 8/256GB, Touch ID/Trackpad.

May 21-27 delivery time.
Final update!

Got delivered about an hour and a half ago. Looks and performs even better than I was hoping it would. Truly beautiful, light as air, thin as a razor's edge, and optimistically bubbly in appearance.

Also, what a well executed retro-futurist homage to the iMac G3. Forward looking and nostalgic all at the same time. Apple really outdid themselves with this. Simply stunning.

Yeah what is up with new Apple cables smelling so odd?

Ever since the MacBook Pro 13" from 2017, I've noticed all Mac and iPad cables smell horrid when first unboxed. Interestingly not iPhone cables (Lightning). I wonder what is causing that... Perhaps the material makeup of what they use to make Mac and iPad cables?

You think the cables smell bad, you should smell a brand new pair of air pods max. when I unboxed mine the smell was so strong it legit gave me a headache.

Looks stunning, what is your use case ? I am buying one for online studies & general stuff , also I might dabble into video editing at some point hence the 8gb/256GB could be the sweet spot . The M1 iPad Pro delivered today as the secondary/mobile device .

Went with the Magic Trackpad over the Magic Mouse. 100% glad that I did. I was always weary of using a trackpad in lieu of a mouse on a desktop but I didn't need to be. This thing is great and 1000x better than the Magic Mouse that I've always hated. I still have my MX Master 3 if I want to also have a standard mouse on hand.

So after a full day of using this iMac I have decided that the Magic Mouse is going into a drawer. The Magic Trackpad is just so much better.
I like a trackpad for most stuff but switch to a mouse when editing photos and adjusting a bunch of sliders. Seems to be faster and more accurate. Magic Mouse can be weird but I love its side to side scrolling capability. I still haven't taken my new one out of the package yet. :)

This machine is gorgeous. No matter what color you get you lose sight of the color when you least expect it and then when you do see it it's a pleasant surprise from the ordinary. I also cannot imagine this screen with black bezels, I think it would make the actual screen seem smaller. Against a white wall it just fades from sight. I'm tempted to buy another in another color for a different room in the house!

Agreed, the white bezels are great. (Er, I mean light gray.)

Saw my first beach ball already, briefly. What's with that? 8/8, 16/256.

Holy ****. Wow. I LOVE this thing. I have each size of the new iPad, and I'm still kind of on the fence about them, but this iMac is downright incredible. Such a gorgeous machine. Blazing quick. Perfect screen size. Great camera and speakers. A real winner. Long Live the Desktop.

Same here.
My blue 8GB/1TB has been stuck in Memphis since Sunday afternoon too. Talked with both FedEx and Apple. FedEx said if it clear the paperwork issue today it would not be here until middle of next week. Apple said that I had to wait until around the 28th before they would do something

Oh this is very much my home device. I also use an iPad Pro (2018; 11") as my mobile device. I will use this for general use and surfing. Light photo and video editing, and general streaming and consumption of tv, movies, and games.
