I wonder if there is enough data in this thread to speculate/predict on delivery dates for configurations.

I ordered a 8/8/16/512 Grey on 13/6, so five days before the example above, and ETA is 26/7-3/8. Similarly I saw a same spec as mine but in Orange which also had an earlier relative delivery date.

Just clicking on the Apple site, yellow, orange and purple with the 8/8/8/512 show 2 weeks additional time than the other colours. Likewise putting 16 gb into one of the above extends delivery by 10-24 days.

Anyway, 3 weeks is the earliest I get mine unless there is some change to induce it earlier. Meh
Mine is 8/8/16/1tb with extended keyboard and mouse and track pad. Ordered 9/6, del 29/7
Had a minor gulp thinking larger HD but then I have several 4tb hanging off the back of existing iMac through a hub and upgrade to the next step (2tb) a bit too far, decided 1tb good enough for my needs.
Reminds me, I have adapters ready, hope they suffice but may need a C-3 dock.

Ordered 22nd May - delivered today 5th July. Orange 8/8/16/2TB

For anyone who's tracking a similar journey, this was its route to the UK...

seems the logical point, as its not something that can be added later down line, unlike storage. you can hang a usb drive off back, but not a memory module

Here's my data, to add to the collection: silver 8/8/16/512, ordered 15 June, delivery window 21–27 July. I hope that might shorten, as my card was charged on 2 July, but the order is still 'processing'...

I ordered may 9th trough a swedish retailer and i have still not received my Silver 8/8 16gb ram and 1tb ssd. Don’t know what to do 😣 they said i should expect my computer around 30th june and now they say around 7th july ☹️

Seems most are ordering 16gb?
After less than 24h of use I know 100% 16gb was the right choice.

I'm not a pro user, but I do like to leave a lot of stuff open and it's handling it with ease. Sure 8gb would probably still be running smoothly with its fast unified memory, but right now the memory pressure's comfortably in the green with 12 - 13gb active, 5gb compressed and just a few mb of swap. I think if it had 8gb of ram it'd be swapping a lot.

So given this is day one of a Mac I'll likely be using for years, the extra £200 was well worth it...

My red iMac 8/16/512 (ordered 29th May) has just jumped to “preparing to ship“! I’m so excited! Could it be that it arrives earlier than July 19th?
It just shipped from the Netherlands with dhl express. It says it arrives next week but I expect it to arrive this week, it won’t have a long journey after all.
Does Apple manufacture in the Netherlands?

I think DHL‘s main euro hub is the Netherlands so that might explain the routing.

I ordered 5 blue iMacs at eat same time with extended keyboards on June 15th. Three just changed to Preparing to Ship and two are still at Processing. Weird. You would think they would all change at once.

This looks promising. Ordered the same day as you (June 10) but for an Orange, 1TB, 16GB. My delivery date is currently stated for July 23 — July 30. So should see movement soon.
Ordered June 9 with no movement at all.. Not even that they charged my card... I should be seeing some movement pretty soon.. I hope...

I took the plunge and . . . cancelled my 8/8/8GB/256 Silver iMac that was due this Friday.

In its place I have just ordered an 8/8/16GB/265 in Blue. I bought some blue Air Pod Max's since I ordered the original silver iMac early-June and have fallen in love with the colour and realised the silver iMac would leave me with regrets.

New delivery date is early August. Adding a whole month wait is hard but I think its work it.

Sounds like you made a good decision. I always go with my gut instinct. Color it was! 😁 I got the same config as you, but a different color. Haven’t had a desktop since 2001. Very excited.

I was being far to ‘sensible’ with the Silver option as I was getting it thinking it might sell better in the future than one of the colour options.

But I won’t be selling this for years so I am just going to enjoy the colour I want.

Just roll on the next month of waiting after the previous month of waiting lol
