2021 iMac order thread

Retail store in Australia called the good guys. 10% off too, no return for change of mind though.
Ordered silver 8/16/512 yesterday, expected delivery date 02/08-08/08. I am hoping that it arrives earlier as many iMacs are actually made in Thailand and I live in Bangkok, so hopefully that cuts down on the delivery lead-time 
don't think you will, the feedback im getting is people who gone from intel to this not much change, in everyday, but when flipped back its massive difference upon reflection so I think you b on a winner, let me know your feedback tomorrow and enjoy !

Same here. I’ll be using this for years so resale really doesn’t matter to me. I usually have a friend that I sell to eventually, and make a few bucks. But after not having a desktop for 20 years, I’m going to enjoy this one for a long time. Love my MacBook Pro but I like to type and read a lot, so looking forward to this form-factor.
I am still being worried about the M1 chip performance longevity, being it the first M chip. I don’t know how ‚hungry’ future Mac OS releases will be. I plan to use this new iMac for the next 5-7 years, usually for as long as new Mac OS version are supported
Movement! My silver 8/8/16/512, ordered 15 June, is now 'shipping to store'. (Alas, store pickup means no detailed tracking to obsess over!) Still saying 14–21 July pickup...
Regarding colour choice, it's unusual for me to go for the 'boring' silver, but the 8GB silver I had briefly looked so pretty and light, and 'goes with everything'. I'd never have been able to decide on a colour anyway.

My delivery date updated! It’s going to arrive 3 days early! Getting it July 12 now! So excited!
Mine is still scheduled for the 15th.... and while apple says it has shipped, dhl says only the label has been created... oh well. It would have been great if I got it before the weekend.
What configuration? Yes, it takes forever. We could have literally taken slow boats to China, picked them up and brought them back sooner than this.
just 8gb to 16gb RAM.... we should do a trip, a youtube video where we go to china and pick up and make our own iMac. "WE BEAT APPLE - HERES HOW"
