Why’s yours fedex while mine is UPS, I wonder… I trust fedex more than UPS, I’ll be super mad if they just leave a giant box next to my door before I can get there.

Shipping times really are catching up. I received an update taking two weeks off the travel time to New Zealand then it arrived without warning three days early. Love the orange iMac. Trackpad and keyboard are great and then it saw and connected to my old 2006 Mighty Mouse with a track ball on top.. all working OK.. I've spent many years using Mac Book Pros so it has lived in a drawer for years. Hope everyone is as happy with their iMacs as I am. At 75 I'm having fun..
Yesterday I called Apple Thailand Customer Services and told them that DHL is holding the delivery. The Apple representative laughed and said that they would never advise the freight forwarder to intentionally hold a shipment. They are now asking DHL to release the shipment. Let’s see what happens next ?
No idea. I've had both deliver from apple, but usually iMacs/MacBooks/phones is fedex and everything else comes via UPS
Huh, weird. My update just says it was cleared by customs. Been that way for two days now, hope it gets here by Friday.
Interesting... Ordered 7/21 and just moved to preparing to ship today. Card charged so fingers crossed that I get a tracking number soon!

UPS finally let me know it’s chilling in Alaska now, thankfully. Just a few short plans hops to my processing center and drive and I can set most of it up. By the way, does anyone know where they can sell their magic keyboards & mouses that come with it? I’m really not a huge fan of them but I got the fully upgraded keyboard with touchID. Does that make it useable on any other device or is it stuck to Apple-only and therefore isn’t worth as much to sell for a keyboard/mouse combo I actually want?
You can try eBay or FB marketplace. I know people complain about the Magic Mouse, but Touch ID on the Magic Keyboard is particularly useful. As far as I know, the mouse is compatible with all devices. Touch ID on the keyboard only works with M1 Macs, and compatibility with Windows is sometimes complicated with the different key labels.

Charged on Saturday, and there was a minor hold up as I had traded in some stuff I wasn't using and accidentally used $2 of the credit so I had to reach out to support and have them process it after I added $2 to my account balance.
That clearly didn't hold it up. Pleasantly surprised at the quick turnaround, only makes me wonder if I would've gotten lucky as well with Orange, which was my first choice but the estimated delivery was the last week of August at the time of my order.

my iMac is out for delivery! Thank goodness. I’m at work but I cannot wait until tonight!
Well... I wouldn't want my iMac left on the doorstep... the weekend will fly by fast...
I’ll be going to pick it up from their central station when they give me a call back, so all hope is not lost. My mom is telling me I need to stop taking care of her, actually. I just deep-cleaned the fridge and am having a Lowe’s tech look at it since it isn’t cold anymore. I think she’s going a bit bananas having me here.
I broke down tonight and ordered the base M1 iMac with a 512 GB HD and 8GB RAM.Not a power user and that is good for me. Apple says delivery between August 18 and 25th
