alright, mine has been shipped.
I am a bit confused though, the Apple store mail I received mentions standard shipping, when tracking the delivery on DHL website it says DHL Express

That's great, mine shipped 7/21 and its due here in SF Bay Area on the 28th.
Is the magic mouse better than it used to be? My previous one would often disconnect if I dropped it slightly - e.g. picking it up to move it and then dropping it slightly onto my desk (not more than 1cm).
And now showing delivery date on FedEx tracking for July 28th, but it’s already in the sorting facility extremely close to my house so wouldn’t be suprised if it’s even earlier than Wednesday. Looks like shipping times are really dropping from when this all started!
Been a few days and my shipment is still processing in customs. But July 28th, 2021, same as cocainehearts. How, I’m not totally sure…
I got the m1 blue base model as a fair open box from Best Buy for $1100. It was still in the box and nothing had been opened at all with all the shrink wrap on it. I am very very happy with this machine especially for $200 cheaper than it would have been new when the open box was still unopened. It was marked as "minor scratches" but nothing had been opened. It looked like someone just changed their mind and took it back without even opening the box. And the open box still has 30 days to purchase AppleCare + so I am going to get that on it and I will be good to go. The magic keyboard that came with it feels so pleasant to type on. It seems more responsive than my 2017 27" Imac keyboard.
My shipping status has not changed since Friday evening… the DHL tracking inquiry says ‘shipment accepted by the carrier - shipment picked up‘ as of last Friday 6PM China Time. No update since. This is supposed to be DHL Express. Quite unusual, or?
Yeah looking at my package it says it’s at my local FedEx facility today, but says “not due for delivery” ?. Scheduled delivery still says July 28th by 12pm but it technically could have been on a truck for delivery. Does Apple maybe do this to keep in line with other delivery dates like yourself??

Apple do have embargoes on delivery to tie-in with release dates, but typically not otherwise. As can be seen from many of the posts in this thread alone, lots of buyers are getting their iMacs earlier than Apple's predictions, so beyond that initial embargo date clearly they are not managing delivery dates once the carrier has possession of any specific package.
There is a possibility that it is being deliberately held so that it doesn't get delivered earlier than other packages with higher priority, more expensive, shipping. Or that your carrier, like most, is experiencing issues of varying severity resulting from the pandemic, so it may be as simple as the fact they don't have a driver for the route, or that the driver is covering multiple routes and packages are being staged to manage volume. Or the warehouse is short of staff and some packages are simply not sorted ready for delivery.

same here. My iMac has arrived in Bangkok, however, the shipment is put on hold by DHL at delivery facility. I just called DHL because I was worried that they are missing some information but they confirmed that they are only allowed to deliver the package on 2nd august as initially scheduled by Apple.
Sorry but I don’t get this at all. What is the reason of intentionally holding back a delivery? Not that Apple cares but with this kind of practice they’re upsetting customers instead of making them happy when a delivery actually arrives early. This is not a new product delivery that could possibly arrive before the first day of public sale. Not to mention of storage fees that are being incurred? I am very confused and actually a little frustrated for a delay that is pretty unnecessary in my opinion.

I just checked again this morning, and it says it’ll arrive July 30th. Why Apple is yanking us in a string, I don’t know. It’s killing my anticipation.
Yeah, these shipping times getting a little bipolar ? I just got a notification that now mine is out for delivery today. SO initial timing of Aug 10-17 when order first placed, then updated to Aug 4-11 when it went to ‘preparing to ship’, Aug 2 when it was shipped (but FedEx had July 28th), and finally arrived at my local FedEx on July 25 but still delivery of 28th until this AM, it changed to out for delivery. Not mad about an early arrival, BUT for a very expensive item, how the hell do people who work regular hours M-F, manage to catch these things?! Those dates were all over the place! ? I am a nurse that has rotating days and just happens to be my day off so I will be fortunate to be here to sign for it.

Ordered 7/22 with original range of August 13-20. Shipping notification overnight, left China this morning, Fedex has delivery date of 8/2.

Ordered Orange 8/8/16/1TB on the same day with same shipping estimates and got a charge pending on my card. Hopefully i get a shipping notification soon.
