I'm serious, I hate it. Especially with the same design as the Pro 11, it ends up looking like a Chinese knockoff. The bigger bezels are noticeable, and the refresh rate makes it look stupid after using the Pro. Would've been nice like 5 years ago.

The screen on the 11 is a whopping 0.1 inches bigger and they have the same overall footprint. Come on now.

The last air that made sense was the air 2 as that was the pro ipad at the time. I see no point in the air 4. If you want a basic good iPad go with the iPad 8th gen. If you need the power go with the pro for not much more than the air.

So do you think that your iphone with its 60hz screen looks like a chinese knock off or looks ‘stupid’ next to Android phones with 120 hz displays lol.
The same was said about OLED on iPhones but many can’t tell the difference in quality between an iPhone 11 and an iPhone 12. I’m glad I didn’t buy my 12 for it’s display as my work phone 11 is just as good. Techy people get far too hung up on minor details most wouldn’t notice.

well OLED for television is the real deal.. maybe it has more to do with screen size. Night and day difference when seeing the darker scenes on a large OLED display vs LCD display.

I think USB C alone can be a big deal for many... Power difference between the ipad 8, air 4 and even M1 is not radically changing the experience of most people. They are all powerfull, but USB C can be a big deal. Also for those that use a stylus the pencil 2 is another big improvement. And storage and speakers are also factors for many...

FID isn’t really necessary when you have TID on the power button. FID doesn’t really save you time or anything, does it?

Depends. I like it on the 12.9 since I often use that docked at my work desk at 2-3 ft distance. Makes signing in to websites, etc. easier when I don't have to reach out to touch the Home button.

Lounging in bed or otherwise holding the iPad while using it in landscape, I'm always getting the "Camera Covered" message so it's less convenient there.

I’m the type to leave my devices fully unlocked so couldn’t care less about biometrics. I much prefer the least amount of friction as possible. FID would be annoying for me though since I primarily use the iPad in landscape. Actually wouldn’t that be very annoying for people who leave their iPad in a magic keyboard?

In a van down by the river

single core geek higher on air...thinking I may pull the trigger on the air as it appears to be the best bang for the buck currently
Making a purchase decision based on a meaningless benchmark is not really practical, especially if one is looking to determine whether the device will meet the overall daily workflow needs / desires.

I use my iPad Pro in landscape mode almost exclusively and never have an issue with Face ID. I wonder why some people do have trouble.
