I am glad I just went with a replacement on my AT&T line. I was going to order the unlocked version, but I had the feeling shipping dates would slip fast. It will still be unlocked as I am using my Apple Card to pay.Ordered at 08:07AM for the unlocked variant (Connect on your own later) and got September 28th - October 3rd
So in the past Apple has quoted an estimated time for delivery and they have usually underpromised and over delivered.
Maybe Apple will use what phones are preordered to ramp up supply of the most in demand phones to get you a phone before the estimated date.
I was trying to pick in-store pickup bc I saw the option and when I tried to check out through Apple Pay it gave me some weird error and then I fixed it but the pick up option was gone so I had to go with delivery haha. Still getting it launch day so im hype

Happened to me a couple of yearsā¦ just reach out to apple support via call/chat later this morning and they will update it for you.
Didnāt change the delivery date for me!
Its all based on where you are. Server changes need to propagate and this takes time. It has never opened for me at 8 exactly. Last year 8:07, this year 8:05...IUP made the check out 2 clicks.
Got both phones, max and pro black. One is on launch day. The other a week later which is fine with me. Took longer having to do veterans discount.
You think this sucks? Wait until the carriers have to activate all those esim all on the same day
Got a 16th delivery to an old address. Damnitā¦ how did I miss that. Apparently Apple will change it for me but only in a few hours.
I am super frustrated. On the upgrade program and did the pre approval and my phone continues to error out. Cannot get my order through!

Anyone else get the weird "Delivers by postal service"? Never seen this before.
Iām just going to use this as therapy right now. Since Christmas of last year Iāve been in a whirlwind of deep depression, autoimmune disease issues, and havenāt been too excited about life. With the start of the football season yesterday, and our nerd Christmas today, I have that feeling of happiness and excitement that I havenāt felt very much in the last several months. App was trash. Wouldn't open until 8:13am EST. Earliest pick up was 12:15. Fine. Then it refused to place the order. Asked me to try again. No go.
Switched to mobile Safari and only 1:00pm EST was available. Annoying but at least I don't need to go into work late.
