Do this on your phone safari browser. I had the same message when using the apple store app but I was able to do it on the browser.

I currently have an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I'm going for the 14 Pro Max this Friday. For some strange reason, I cannot use Apple Card monthly payments on the Apple Store App (ASA) like I could in the past and I like to use that method as the Apple Store App tends to open up before the Safari browser on my Mac. I can buy it outright on the ASA using Apple Card. Apple informed me that I can buy it outright with the Apple Store Card and call to transfer it to monthly payments, so I'll do that.

I used Apple Store app and Apple card.

Are you financing? I'm using the Apple Store App, as well. I was able to pick my model, configuration, color, etc. Was able to select that I was replacing one of my phones on my Verizon account and that i was also planning a trade-in. I also selected that I was going to be paying in full. Maybe my options will update later tonight.

Has anyone went from pro max to pro and regretted it? I can’t decide on if I want to jump ship to the smaller device this year from 13 pro max.

Usually get the flagship new color but going to go for space black this year.

the Pro will feel like a toy after you've been carrying around the PM for the past year. Better battery life, bigger screen...don't do it. Stay on the PM Ship!
