Are you going to order the new iPhone 14?

I remember in the past sitting in ZZ for several days as more iPhones accumulate for the trip to the states. This could be what's happening now.
That's a possibility and we will know for sure on Thursday. But I still think we're waiting to depart from China. We haven't had any UPS flights going to China lately (From UPS side). Time will tell.

All phones are built in China, and originate from China - yes.

You have people in the past who have received their iPhones ordered from Apple that had it delivered from a local warehouse via ground service on launch day NOT using UPS.

But then you also have people who ordered from carriers who are saying the USPS & FEDEX who can't/shouldn't be the carrier who are mixing it up here.

So check your facts....

And stop telling people what thread to post!
It's okay to admit you are wrong...come back to this thread in a month when you place your order and show me your tracking number from the US....everyone still following this thread (all two of them) will applaud you in being correct at some point in time.

There is not one single person in this thread now or for at least the next 2 weeks that will have an iPhone ordered on Apple.com that will NOT ship direct from China.

Stay if you want to...just stop defending others with your backwards logic about SOME phones EVENTUALLY shipping from the US to justify their incorrect statement that their apple.com phone is currently in the US. They were in the wrong thread...period.

Just found another flight en route to China directly. Landing in 2 hours. Something is going to happen today. Watch!

Just an update on the UPS fee for holding a package for pickup. I just called my local UPS Hub where I pick up packages and they told me they don't charge a fee for a package to be held for pickup, but if you try to do it online, she had heard they will ask for a credit card number and possibly the 800 number might also, but she said as a local Hub, if someone calls to request that, they don't charge. So you might want to either call your local hub where you wanted to pick up about holding the package for you or if it is close enough, just stop over there and ask them if it can be held for pick up and confirm there isn't a fee. Just wanted to share what I found out.

This is 100% accurate. I have never paid a fee to hold my package.

Looking at my shipping status this morning. Still puzzled on weights. 3 packages arriving Friday - All from Apple. 2 from China (Mine and Wife's phone). Can only assume the other is the Watch - but is the watch & packaging that much heavier than the phones?

0.40 KGS is 0.88 LBS - Unless this isn't the actual weight of phone & box, and just the negotiated upon weight per package?

Here's the suspect shipment that I can only assume is my Aluminum Apple Watch Series 8. 1.5 LBS. Not concerned - just bizarre that the packaging for a watch & band bundle (with charging puck) is that much heavier than the new phone & cord.

Hahah. The same thing happened to me!! But I drove around using follow the driver and found his truck and produced my ID to get my phone. It was 730 at night and I was having surgery the following Monday so I was worried it wasn’t going to be delivered. To this day my friends still laughter about it. It was in 2017. Lol!! 😀😀😀😀
haha! That's amazing. And crazy that you still didn't have your phone by 7:30pm back then! (Wouldn't surprise me today with how much busier UPS has gotten since 2020).

Not completely true. My iPhone shipment does NOT use my phone number as a reference number.(I tried to look it up with my phone number just to see) I do not have my phone number linked to my UPS MyChoice account. I am able to see my tracking as it's linked to my address not my phone number. In my case anyway. I'm sure others can be different.
My phone and order number showed up as reference numbers this morning. The phone, though, is my old land line that I no longer have. I have no idea where Apple got it. But I guess that explains why searching with my cell number didn’t work. 🤪

So.... 2 of our 4 phones last year ordered thru apple.com came from with the US. So the word "every" is incorrect. Unless you're talking about where they were manufactured, and in that case they came from China, but they were already in the US and shipped from US warehouses on Thursday night to arrive Friday morning.
I'm not really following this discussion, but my girlfriend had a new launch day iPhone originate from a California warehouse. It was already in-country. Of course it originated in China, but the phone started tracking in California.
