It's been rather gray and overcast here the past few days here in Upper Marlboro, MD. Just like my mood.Niceeee! It's such a nice and gloomy day in Las Vegas. The weather in here has changed so much in the last 20 years.

Yes I didDid you order directly from T-Mobile? I'm wondering if they are shipping phones stateside instead of directly from China. I'm guessng carriers get their own stock and then ship from the US?
Thank you! well said.If a T-Mobile order tracking thread doesn't exist yet, you are welcome to start one. I've participated in the AT&T thread in the past...you are just confusing everyone with irrelevant comments, that's all. No real harm done.
Maybe it depends how you request it to be held. If you have to call the 800 number to request that, maybe they somehow tack a fee on, but I happen to know the phone number of my local UPS hub and they just take my tracking number and say they will put a hold on it for me to pick up. If the location is close and you don't know the phone number, you could just go over there to request that. That’s what I thought. I was never charged before when I request a pick up. I’ve been reading that folks are now being a charged so just wanted to get clarity on that. Thank you!
Correct, there are lots of misinformation everywhere. For everyone that kept saying that all phones ship out of china or that I was mistaken and it was a case not a phone. It finally sent an email with the tracking number so you can see mine was from Indiana.
Not completely true. The AT&T phones are only locked if you choose the AT&T financing/payment plan.Only AT&T phone will be locked all others are unlocked
I agree with this. Within the last 14 years. I've never paid UPS a fee to hold my package. They always let me go pick it up. Maybe things have changed?Maybe it depends how you request it to be held. With the screwup for the annual upgrade people using Apple Pay last year, when Apple finally got around to getting our 4 phones to us on launch day we ended up receiving 2 from China, 1 from California, and 1 from Pennsylvania. These were all ordered directly from Apple, not a carrier, and all arrived on launch day. So there's multiple routes to customers.^^^ This is correct.
I knew some phones are already in the US at Apple or carrier warehouses.
Reason being, I bought 2 iPhone 12s - both Pro - 2 years ago - 1 delivered from Ontario/Fontana, CA warehouse 10 miles away via Fed-Ex Ground on launch day.
The other was from China and went thru ANC and SDF airports for international standard delivery on launch day.
Here's one of my TMO phones here in the USA at their warehouse waiting for Friday launch day.
I just felt like I was being attacked and everyone kept saying it was a case when it wasn’t. Why would I lie, I didn’t order a case.
It’s showing a $5.99 charge for me too. I’m just going to wait until it hits the states to see if that makes a difference.I agree with this. Within the last 14 years. I've never paid UPS a fee to hold my package. They always let me go pick it up. Maybe things have changed?
What's what I would do... Alaska >>>> Kentucky. 8-hour flight. Plenty of time to submit a request. It’s showing a $5.99 charge for me too. I’m just going to wait until it hits the states to see if that makes a difference.
I'm pretty sure I called the central UPS number last year and got it held at my local CC for free. Haven't called them yet this year, though.Maybe it depends how you request it to be held. If you have to call the 800 number to request that, maybe they somehow tack a fee on, but I happen to know the phone number of my local UPS hub and they just take my tracking number and say they will put a hold on it for me to pick up. Well the title does say Apple.com not att or tmob or vzw.Yeah they shouldn’t be attacking you. OP is the one that is blatantly making up things and misleading people.
I think Apple has learned from their past shipping logistics. So there's multiple routes to customers.
No one is attacking anyone here and everyone is welcome here to comment with respect.Yeah they shouldn’t be attacking you. OP is the one that is blatantly making up things and misleading people.
As I stated above, you are in the wrong thread.Correct, there are lots of misinformation everywhere.
In the old days, all phones came in from China and distributed pallets to different carriers and Apple Stores just before launch day.
Nowadays, Apple has smartly distributed way ahead of launch day to carriers & Apple stores. TMO already has the 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max in their US warehouses.
In addition to my iPhone 12 from a nearby Apple warehouse on launch day via Ground service; I also had a Mac Mini on launch day arrive from Bloomington, CA warehouse which normally supplies Apple Stores via FedEx Ground on time.
So everyone needs to get out of their "old thinking"....
Thank you!As I stated above, you are in the wrong thread.
EVERY phone ordered directly from apple.com (this is the apple.com order thread) COMES FROM CHINA!
No one said there weren't phones already here being distributed by carriers or Apple Stores. But the fact is, that's irrelevant in a thread where we are tracking our phones FROM CHINA.
I agree… and maybe if people are feeling “attacked”’ they should leave? I mean… rbis the .com group??Well the title does say Apple.com not att or tmob or vzw.
Would be interesting to see how many apple.com orders don't originate from china.
I'll go on
We'll see - some Apple.com shipments may originate from a Apple Warehouse in the US as we all know iPhones are already here.Well the title does say Apple.com not att or tmob or vzw.
Would be interesting to see how many apple.com orders don't originate from china.
I'll go on a limb and say none.
