Are you going to order the new iPhone 14?

We'll see - some Apple.com shipments may originate from a Apple Warehouse in the US as we all know iPhones are already here.

I have seen some Apple devices shipped from an Apple warehouse direct to me so it's very possible they will use the Apple Store inventory to ship to those that have freight delays from international shipping (customs, weather, local transport)....
People have already been given tracking numbers that originated from China. I don't think anyone here is expecting an iPhone coming from US Warehouse. Unless you missed the pre-ordered launch date then yeah. Otherwise, No.

Oh did people in the first wave get tracking already? Or are you all going by ref. number? I'm still waiting for mine.

Yeah they shouldn’t be attacking you. OP is the one that is blatantly making up things and misleading people.
tell us your new here - with out telling us you’re new here… no one is attacking anyone - we’ve been doing this for years - and know what we’re talking about… feel free to find the door and use it…

I'll go on another limb and say carrier/apple store phones also originate from China(obviously) and get stateside via private means....commercial shipping starting in the states like you are seeing.

At the end of the day its Friday the 16th that any phone will get here.

It’s showing a $5.99 charge for me too. I’m just going to wait until it hits the states to see if that makes a difference.
When you're saying "it's showing" are you trying to request it to be held online on the UPS website? How would they charge you, are they asking for a credit card number on there? You're best bet is to get a hold of the facility where you want to pick it up and ask them if they can hold it for you. If I get a chance at lunch, I'll call my local Hub and ask them if they charge for pick up and if they say no, I'll ask them if any location should be charging to hold a package for pickup.

Sorry for the cross post to another blog, but seems like some phones are starting to shop.

As I stated above, you are in the wrong thread.

EVERY phone ordered directly from apple.com (this is the apple.com order thread) COMES FROM CHINA!

No one said there weren't phones already here being distributed by carriers or Apple Stores. But the fact is, that's irrelevant in a thread where we are tracking our phones FROM CHINA.
All phones are built in China, and originate from China - yes.

You have people in the past who have received their iPhones ordered from Apple that had it delivered from a local warehouse via ground service on launch day NOT using UPS.

But then you also have people who ordered from carriers who are saying the USPS & FEDEX who can't/shouldn't be the carrier who are mixing it up here.

So check your facts....

And stop telling people what thread to post!

All through the ordering process it said the 16th. It wasn't until I got the email that the dates were pushed out..
That is interesting. Your appears to be a bit different than most of us with the erroneous "Postal Service" issue, which were promised 9/16 and then in the email had 9/23 listed, along with Postal Service. It appears something slightly different happened to you, being given a date range (9/23-10/3) rather that a single date. I'm not surprised at all that there isn't any change in the App Store status. In any case, I assume if you were in line to get it on 9/16 , you'd have tracking via UPS by now. Can you confirm nothing via UPS / MyChoice?

This is a great article with lots of great info. Thank you for sharing. But yeah, iPhones have been shipped already.

So.... 2 of our 4 phones last year ordered thru apple.com came from with the US. So the word "every" is incorrect. Unless you're talking about where they were manufactured, and in that case they came from China, but they were already in the US and shipped from US warehouses on Thursday night to arrive Friday morning.

Like all of you I've done the pre-order for years. I ordered literally within minutes, had 09/16 throughout the entire process and then the email. Nothing in UPS, track by reference etc. I think I am just "that guy" this year. Knowing Apple's history of under promising and overdelivering I am hopeful I will see the phone next week.
