Idk if I missed it in this thread. Has anyone still not received an email from citizens one? Are they that behind?
Yep none to my email either although when I called to ask why they said could take 24-48 hours it’s way past that now. They did say I was already pre-approved and I’ve got tracking info and all is good on apple’s end. They must be very slow this year.

^^^ This is correct.

I knew some phones are already in the US at Apple or carrier warehouses.

Reason being, I bought 2 iPhone 12s - both Pro - 2 years ago - 1 delivered from Ontario/Fontana, CA warehouse 10 miles away via Fed-Ex Ground on launch day.

The other was from China and went thru ANC and SDF airports for international standard delivery on launch day.

Here's one of my TMO phones here in the USA at their warehouse waiting for Friday launch day.

The confusion here is that this thread is specifically for discussion of phones pre-ordered by customers in the US directly from Apple. 100% of those phones will ship from China and will be delivered by UPS. That is not misinformation or confusion - it's fact.

If you ordered a launch day phone from a carrier like AT&T, T-Mobile, etc, those phones may originate stateside. Those discussions should be taking place in different threads designated for orders from those carriers. THAT's what is causing all the confusion.

ETA I see this has all be hashed and rehashed...I was a few pages behind, so I posted before catching up!

Only 54 pages since I logged off Saturday night.. I'll be spending my day reviewing. It just dawned on me that Tim Apple is sending my iPhone to Mr Wolfs-one of the quirky things that changed during pre-order, maybe that's why I can't access the entire tracking number. I am getting all the apple notices, so I know it has shipped searching by reference number. Mr Wolfs is in meetings all day so I am going to have to try hacking into his UPS account (if he even has one). The struggle, it is real!

Also, just in case this wasn't clarified in the last 50 or so pages, the iPhones are scanned by the pallet, not individually, leaving China. For all the newbies out there, this is why people report shipping/status changes in waves. The pallets will get broken down and dispersed to each of us once they reach Louisville/Worldport/SDF at which time the scans will become specific to the individual device.

Maybe it depends how you request it to be held. If you have to call the 800 number to request that, maybe they somehow tack a fee on, but I happen to know the phone number of my local UPS hub and they just take my tracking number and say they will put a hold on it for me to pick up. If the location is close and you don't know the phone number, you could just go over there to request that.
I have always called the 800# in the past and was never asked to pay anything. I guess we will see once I call them. I’ll update everyone then. Thank you!

totally correct. I remember in years past before I joined the iUP program there were carrier threads for me to follow and I assume there are for the 14 series although have not looked just watching this and few other threads currently

Here below are the three major carrier threads for those who ordered via those means.

You beat me to it good sir. I ordered directly from AT&T but this thread is more active and more entertaining to read so every year I spend a majority of my time in the Apple thread.
