I must be doing something wrong I dont get the details yall get .. tracking.PNG

For those of us 2nd wavers, I keep getting this message when I check MyChoice UPS account. It’s possible that we’ve shipped out but the system is bonkers.

I've been getting that message intermittently from the beginning of tracking. It comes on, flashes off, and the update comes on. I think it might be just like a busy signal.

Stuck 9/11 9:50 PM

Apple charged card fully and isn’t a pending transaction.
That is a function of the credit card... not a reflection of any progress (or lack thereof) for the shipment. The charge authorization request is sent to the credit card company and it's "pending"... eventually the the actual charge processes through the system and the charge moves from a "pending" transaction to an actual charge against the card.

I mean you have to expect those errors...

We're all hitting that API constantly to see any updates!!

Traffic is probably through the roof... I'm surprised UPS.com even loads at this point.

Well..the app has more info than the website in this case. I can't divert the package from MI to VA for the phone...too far outside of the delivery area for this package.

Checking with neighbor to make sure he will be there to sign for it.

For those of you still in ZZ (me included), I wanted to share that last year, my phone didn’t leave ZZ until Wednesday morning (CN time) so that was Tuesday night here. I still got it on launch day. There were other folks that didn’t leave China until Thursday (Wednesday here) but still got their phones on launch day. 😊

I expect to see a lot of movement for the rest of us by tonight!

I guess it depends on who helps you. For me, they ask for my ID with the name and the matching address. Along with tracking number.

More recent tho I frequent the UPS CC so they know me very well that they ask for my ID, but they do ask me to verify my mailing address.
Like they just ask what the mailing address is? Bc the address on my ID and my package don’t match but my name does. I have the tracking number and know the address that I am having the package sent to.

I have the same thing as yours! No full tracking number or status just yet. Idk how everyone else is seeing their full tracking number and status, or able to track the plane their phone is on 😅
If you sign up for UPS MyChoice (its free) you can get the full tracking info and then we compare flights on flightaware.com to find out which flights our phones are on based on arrival/departure scan times

My first iPhone was a 3GS. It was the first iPhone that one could buy and use in Vermont. At the time Cingular/ATT was the only carrier iPhones could use, and in Vermont, ATT didn’t have a license or any service/towers. You could go over the border to NY and buy one with a NY address, but then it was only 2G Roaming service. Just before the 3GS launch, if I remember correctly, ATT bought one of the small local legacy wireless carriers in order to get a foothold into the state, and as a part of the deal, were required to keep the previous local Unicel stores as corporate AT&T stores for a certain number of years.

After seeing the fun people were having lining up and camping out at iPhone launches before that, I decided to head down to the local newly minted AT&T store at around 6 am, just in case it was mobbed, and because I thought it would be fun to “camp out in the line". As the store was officially a corporate AT&T store, which at the time was a designation reserved for only the largest flagship stores in big cities, the corporate office had sent out a large pile of bound procedures to be followed, including arrival of all the employees at 4 am, how to lay out the queues and signage, as well as hiring and sending 2 extra security guards for the day etc. This really amused the 3 employees of this small strip mall store in Bennington VT, but they dutifully put up the signs and sent one of the guards out for donuts, as they otherwise had nothing to do.

When I arrived at 6 am, the laughing ATT employees let me in, we had a few donuts and coffee, and they assured me that while they didn’t have a lot of 3GS’s in stock (like 6) - they did had the one I was looking for. At 7:50 am they sent me back outside to formally line up for the official 8 am opening. At the stroke of 8, with great fanfare they let the massive line (me) into the store, sold me the phone, and I had one of the first iPhones legally sold and serviced in Vermont.

Me in "line" at 7:50 am 6/19/2009 - taken with my iPhone 3GS by an ATT employee 10 minutes before I "bought" it.

Yea it sucks that we have to pay to have it held. I'm a premium UPS member so mine is free. However my premium does end in November. Not sure if I want to renew it then or not. but I do use UPS a lot so it might be worth it for me.
Yeah it’s one of the perks for being a premium member. However, they shouldn’t charge a fee to request for pick up for anybody!! It’s ridiculous! We ordered apple watch series 7 last year but it never came. it was stuck in out of delivery and no attempt for delivery so we assumed it was stolen.

You could visit the UPS CC of where you are having it held and ask them what they need? Maybe you could explain it to that person. I'm sure you'll get more better response from them.

But from my experience in the past my address on ID had to match the address on the package. You could also take a utility bill if that's your new address?

Then there are scores of people with delayed tracking. It’s just the game.

I know how credit cards work. I was simply stating that I was already fully charged for the iPhone. In other words, it isn’t a pending transaction anymore.

People were talking about their orders if the transaction went through for those stuck in ZZ.

Oh yeah that’s an issue then! I’ll give them a call right now and see what I can find out.

Ok, how do you get the tracking info on UPS? I’m a my choice customer. Do I need the premium account? What do I put in the tracking number field? Confused over here. Thanks.
