Bwaaa! Apple still shows preparing for shipment but My Choice shows tracking numbers etc. One was in Alaska but might have flown back to China it looks like — and one hasn’t left China. Both show delivery on the 16th. What is going on? Why no shipment notification from Apple?

I do have the free one.. still shows that
Your logged into the account and the delivery address associated with the account matches the delivery address on the package?

That only appears for security reasons if the account does not match the package.

For those of you still in ZZ (me included), I wanted to share that last year, my phone didn’t leave ZZ until Wednesday morning (CN time) so that was Tuesday night here. I still got it on launch day. There were other folks that didn’t leave China until Thursday (Wednesday here) but still got their phones on launch day. 😊

I expect to see a lot of movement for the rest of us by tonight!
I have 100% confidence that, despite the lack of movement of my device, it will be here when Apple promised it. The same scenario plays out every year — some phones fly through the system with notifications and indications, while others seem to stagnate at various waypoints... but they all get where they are going and 99.999% of them arrive on time, as promised.

If you think about it, it's a pretty freaking amazing display of awesome logistics. Apple, UPS (and other carriers for other parts of the planet) tackle a Herculean task multiple times each year, and succeed in the extreme majority of cases.

Normal during iPhone launch day.

It will change to shipped sometime after import scan in SDF which should be around Thursday.

Just going with the data that we have. Man, I’m going to miss Sierra blue iPhone. Anyone feels the same way?
I always miss the iphone I trade away. I didn’t get to use the Sierra Blue 13 Pro I had for very long due to the migraines it was causing me. Camera was a bit wonky, too, so I couldn’t even use it for that. But I did enjoy looking at the back of it. It was beautiful with the cases I got for it. I’m giving my cases to a friend’s daughter. So I’ll still get to see them once in awhile. They’re of course pristine.

So, while I’ll be happy to trade out a phone I wasn’t able to use and that nobody else in the family wanted, I’ll definitely miss the looks of it.

I’m in a similar situation. I’ve had UPS MyChoice for years and my address has never changed. Still see what they see. I’m not too worried.

Because UPS my choice will always show you the printed label ready for pick up before it is ever shipped, usually retailers wait until it on its way before letting you know.

Whenever you see label created it just means someone paid for the shipping label but hasn’t been pick it up by the carrier yet.

I will never understand logistics, but these companies (i.e. UPS, FEDEX, etc) are so good at what they do and very efficient.

And unlike everyone else, I would say yes, Get a polishing cloth and buff that out a bit. That sure looks like minor wear and tear to me. If the glass is intact with no cracks on either side I think you are good to go. I traded in an iPad that looked much worse and got full value.

That was me last year, and then I got to do the Tour of Asia. 😩
Haha! I remember that! My husbands phone was on the Tour of Asia pallet

By having UPS My Choice Premium. For me though, I have a business account and use UPS Daily to ship and receive. My phone is coming to my office and I can see all inbound shipments with full tracking. This includes my phone.

Quick question: my current iPhone is the 13 PM and has eSIM. Is there a way to check to see if my eSIM is already activated? I see in my settings that I have no carrier restrictions.

It seems you can't put the bigger widget in the middle. I tried last night with no luck.
True. You can have two large widgets (which can be swapped from side to side), or four small widgets (again, totally movable within the allotted space) or one large and up to two small widgets... but if there is one large widget, it is forced to the left-most position. Another case of Apple letting us have things any way we want, as long as it matches up to what Apple wants.:cool:

Back to the "first" iPhone discussion....mine was OG iPhone.

Before that was a Cingular 8525

Prior to that a Motorola V70 (Roto Moto)

Then various Nokia phones.
First was a Blackberry Pearl, then a Bold (both were prior to the first iPhone release). I didn’t get the first 2 iPhones but was so jealous of those who did! Then I climbed on the bandwagon with the 3GS and have been hooked ever since. I’ve upgraded every year since 2008 (3GS, 4, 4S, 5, 5S, 6 Plus, 6S Plus, 7 Plus, 8 Plus, Xs, 11 PM, 12 PM, 13 PM, and soon to be 14PM, eventually. #4digitgang )

Apple won’t update until the phone has departed from Louisville to your destination
