I called them and they said the address needs to match :/ I also can't go back in and cancel the delivery change request now. My sister's ID has the matching address as the package address so I think she may be able to go pick it up on my behalf if I give her the tracking info. I'll prob just go with her and show my ID so they can see my name matches and her address on her id matches the package address.
Yea that part wont be an issue. I sometimes pick up my wifes package and i take her ID with me as well. But then we live together so the address on our ID is the same

I have 100% confidence that, despite the lack of movement of my device, it will be here when Apple promised it. The same scenario plays out every year — some phones fly through the system with notifications and indications, while others seem to stagnate at various waypoints... but they all get where they are going and 99.999% of them arrive on time, as promised.

If you think about it, it's a pretty freaking amazing display of awesome logistics. Apple, UPS (and other carriers for other parts of the planet) tackle a Herculean task multiple times each year, and succeed in the extreme majority of cases.
Oh I’m confident it will get here, too. But it’s fun to watch it travel.

Ordered two 14pros within minutes of store launch with scheduled delivery of Friday the 16th here in the US. Both are still preparing for shipment (charges have posted so no issue there). Should I be concerned that they haven't "shipped" yet and I don't have tracking?

Phoenix area. We’re always on MST… no need to screw around with the clocks. 🥸
We might be moving to MDT full time.
Also, If you ever been to Canes Chicken. They have the best ice.

Nope, Sonic does

now I am paranoid because if the 9:50 batch is still indeed in Zhengzhou then it’s in a considerable risk of missing the launch day of 16th 😅
Still plenty of time

NO. Apple will not update status to shipped until phones clear customs. If your confirmation says Sept 16 you will get it Sept 16 barring something huge.

Folks that are still stuck in China with me. Please expect a "Departed from Facility" scan later today. Once we know exactly when the depart scan hits.

More information on the flight will be provided. No one is expected to be left in China behind. (As long you are promised a launch delivery date).
It's 10:21PM ZZ time. They work late. Probably because of the scheduling.

It wont show as shipped on Apple's end until Thursday, but using UPS My Choice shows all packages in shipment to your address. We are getting our shipment info from that.

One last update from me before I too, head to the sack:

Still stuck in ZZ...2 whole days now (going by China's local time)!
Happens to me every year. Sometimes I get a bonus Tour of Asia
I get what you're saying, but to be totally blunt and honest here, all you're doing is picking your poison. Your iPhone is made in China, a country that is known for Uyghar slave labor and the forced harvesting of organs of helpless human beings ... among many other ungodly atrocities. You are buying from a company that is going all in with China, spending nearly a trillion dollars to be relevant in that country. Apple was even actively lobbying against a bill that would reduce the occurrence of slave labor years ago. If you were to actually uphold buying decisions based on ethics and what companies stand for, there would be very little that you could actually buy. I mean you are perfectly welcome to choose where you don't want to eat, but in the grand scheme of things, the products you are purchasing are coming from countries that are doing some very heinous things that I know are not something you stand for either. It's very hard in this day and age to escape companies that are rooted in a good moral fabric. I tried taking a stand the last year or so ago and promised myself I would stop buying from companies that don't align with my moral beliefs. As it turned out, if I did that, I realized I would own almost nothing. The only way to avoid all of this is to just live off the land and farm and build your own house by hand and raise your own animals and be one with the land. Because short of that, every company is bad at this point.
True, but you can always give them less business, or boycott the worst of the worst-which is why I try to avoid Hobby Lobby unless I am getting something for at least 70-90% off. Politics/birth control policies aside, the outright THEFT of artifacts is what really made me 🤮

*ETA Religious artifacts!

Nope. If you have 9/16 delivery on your order you will get them Friday

No. Sometimes you won’t get that til it’s almost on your doorstep. But, the device always gets on time.

For those of you still in ZZ (me included), I wanted to share that last year, my phone didn’t leave ZZ until Wednesday morning (CN time) so that was Tuesday night here. I still got it on launch day. There were other folks that didn’t leave China until Thursday (Wednesday here) but still got their phones on launch day. 😊

I expect to see a lot of movement for the rest of us by tonight!
👆🏻👆👆🏻

Movement today! 100%

No one will be left behind in China. Everyone is expected to depart Sept 16 delivery dates only!!!

Quick question: my current iPhone is the 13 PM and has eSIM. Is there a way to check to see if my eSIM is already activated? I see in my settings that I have no carrier restrictions.
Check if there's a SIM card? I believe last year when Apple shipped out the 13 Pros, there were no SIM cards and everything we eSIM. This is what I see when I go into Settings -> Cellular:

Do you see the "Delete eSIM" option as well?

This might give you a little piece of mind...My status on the Apple Store is still "Preparing for Shipment" & a delivery date of September 23 via "Postal Service". I had checked UPS on Sunday and there was a shipping label created and a delivery date of September 16th. Right now my iPhone is on the flight from Anchorage to Louisville.
