To feed the ZZ escape speculation, as mentioned earlier, it appears N622UP (a UPS 748) is on the ground in ZHCC (arrived 105 local time, so about 2 hrs ago). Last time a UPS 748 (N616UP) arrived in ZHCC it had about a 3hr ground time...so hopefully we'll see some movement soon if the pattern follows.

i'm excited that the newest and best phone will be on the newest and best aircraft.... love me some Queen of the Skies!!!

Where have I been? Pacing over whether or not I should pick up a new Apple Watch… I’m planning on going to the Apple Store next Friday to try on both the Ultra and Series 8.

I prefer Ultra’s design and battery life but at the same time I think the series 8 is a little sleeker which is a lot more suitable for everyday wear. Better battery on ultra means I can safely sleep track and stay out late without depleting the battery but I guess that’s a bit redundant now that fast charging is a thing? For reference I’m on Series 5 right now.

Meanwhile I’m gonna visit the store this weekend after my 14 PM arrives to go look at the new case colors in person. Those new leather case colors look real nice on video.

I did that and it pulls it up but when I try to click on it, it kicks me out of the app and says info unavailable. I tried with my number and the order number and it said the same thing. That’s why I was confused how people were able to see any info on their phones.

Yup, that a/c (N622UP) was operating that inbound leg but it lost ADS-B over mainland China (happens a lot unless it's sat-based) so FlightAware couldn't complete the pair.

It's OTG now, RadarBox/AirNav has better coverage around ZHCC and tracking by tail number is proving a bit better as there is no flight plan filed yet for any UPS a/c out of ZHCC, so I am thinking my odds are better using alerts against the registration number once it hits an ADS-B receiver (sat or terrestrial) rather than hoping flight numbers stay consistent or flight plans are actually filed in time.

Since many iPhones are already in the USA, I wonder if this year UPS will release them early. I don't recall seeing iPhones in Louisville on Tuesday. I remember seeing them arriving to USA on Thursday night.

They've been to WorldPort this early in the process in previous years... and they WILL NOT be delivered early.

I too had somewhat of a difficult time choosing between the 8 and the Ultra. I decided on the series 8, like you said the Ultra is extremely tempting because of battery life but for me I just didn’t think I’d put to good use all the other functions of the Ultra. Also as you said the 8 seems more suited for every day wear because of how sleek it is. I chose the 45 mm series gold stainless steel. I’ll be picking it up from the Apple Store on Saturday afternoon. I’m upgrading from a series 6, which I wear and still love to this day.
