To be fair, I think yellow gate isn't as much of an issue as it's made out to be. I've gotten used to displays that looked yellow from the get go. Apple typically seems to aim for a warmer calibration with each generation.

Please let this be true. This is the #1 thing that drives me crazy.
I did the same thing. I have also set it to hold at my CC to pick up, but thought I would use this as backup like you just in case. Missed last year's by 15 min and the year before, the UPS guy was halfway down my drive leaving with my phone by the time I got to the door and I'm not disabled. If for some reason I can't pick it up tomorrow morning, I will be sitting outside on my front stoop waiting, but paper will still be on door in case I have to take a potty break or get something to eat. I'm not obsessed, right?!?
