I think there is a good chance the Airpods and the watches are pre-staged in origin countries, not from China.
Wow! Can't wait for mine, I'm upgrading my 2nd gen and I'm very curious if I will adapt to the silicone tips or if I will need to return and get the 3rd gen instead of the PRO!
I took a while to decide to order bc of that .. but I still got the Sep 23 delivery date 🎉

Mine are PFS for like a week now but no tracking number (on UPS or Apple).
Yeah until I see out for delivery here in CU I would worry as well. Hopefully that does not happen for either of us this year. Last year it was no problem but my phone was in week later not opening day craziness. How did. You determine it was “lost” and then on truck? Usually I just see arrival from Decatur and then sometime between 8-9 before local trucks deliver it shows on the truck. I assume that did not appear for you, how late were you able to get them to search the Decatur truck again?
I saw a notification from Apple about the order, when I clicked that, it took me to the information about the trade-in kit box. However, when I view the order on the Apple Store app...nothing about the box. I don't see any tracking from FedEx or UPS for the trade-in kits, yet.

Yes Apple Store app says delivers tomorrow with express shipping, and Apple has marked it as shipped.
Anyone else that set a hold for pickup at the CC seeing this on Apple's website?

It still shows my address as the shipping address, and UPS still shows it coming to me with no mention of the hold being processed yet, so now starting to freak out.

UPS have a delay sometimes on processing info on the consumer side. What Apple have told you is the truth, just need to let the UPS consumer-side systems catch up. Apple are going to be paying UPS huge $$$ for the distribution so I'd imagine they have better access to the internal systems than we do ;-)
Oddly that option still doesn't show up in either place for me although the tracking number does. Happily the pre sign option link was in the email Apple sent so I used that. The Apple Store order pages are just all over the place this year.
No flights headed this way. In previous years, I think I was on a truck. 7hr, 55 minute drive. Patiently waiting on more movement.

I've seen that in the past. The option would show up in the order's page but not in the ups app/website even with my choice. Apple has strange ways 😁

Yeah you’re right. I’ve just never had Apple give me a tracking number before it’s visible in consumer facing systems. This is also the phone I’ve never been able to track by reference, so I’ve been mildly concerned about it this whole week.

It is and they are but that tracking number wasn’t there earlier this morning. UPS and Apple are firing on all cylinders today.
