Yes I will follow up again when it hits shipped. I would imagine it’s coming from China and will go out this weekend. Probably a Wednesday delivery my guess.
I notice during restore that the phone date powers up to Sep 6th. Is that it's birth date? 
Done setting up the new iPhone as new, transferring watches, iCloud stuff, downloading and logging to the apps. The sim transfer was seamless unlike 2020 when I had to spend a whole day hashing out with Verizon to transfer the esim from iPhone 11 PM to iPhone 12 PM!
I did the side by side migration vs the iCloud restore. Worked great. Even had my MFA apps transfer seamlessly
6:55pm, UPS finally delivers, was getting worried they were going to push to tomorrow. Now off to setup!,

UPS dropped the ball, they never processed my delivery change, the driver attempted to deliver to my house, I wasn’t home of course. UPS says it will be at the UPS store tomorrow. I miss launch day.
Shout out to my UPS driver who took the time to hide my iPhone 14PM under the welcome mat where my son could not find it when I asked him to bring it inside.
Update to this. My local Apple Store opened at 8am today for launch. I was out and about and decided to refresh my order page. I was slated for pick up tomorrow. My order showed as ready for pick up though.
Took a chance and went to the store to see if I can just pick up today as opposed to waiting tomorrow . They let me!
It was gone last year too, if I recall.
Was originally going to set up iPhone "as new", but decided to use the data migration tool. Have about 26 minutes left on it. Had no problems with activation. Will immediately update new iPhone to 16.0.1 once everything is done.
After being “out for delivery” all day, UPS just bumped it to “Delivers Monday”. First iPhone launch missing launch day delivery.
Just got off the phone with ATT Prepaid support and they got my number transferred with little issue. The only issue was I thought I was being smart by giving them the IMEI2 "available eSim" number first and that turned out to be incorrect. FYI for anyone else in the same situation. Reset phone and am now restoring from an iCloud backup. Time to have a beer and take a shower, whoo. 🥳
This is the funny part. Went and tracked down the UPS driver. He said that since he had so many deliveries, he just handed over bunch of packages including mine to another driver.
I was attempting to compliment your UPS CC, it's not some massive complex where you had to deal with a line. Now that you mention it, though, if there were more than 2 pro max in there it would probably be a line out the door.
LOL. Thanks to the person who said they gave the UPS driver $20. They indeed have had a hard day today. I have a $20 ready to give to my driver as well. Good idea!Btw my UPS driver did not ask me to sign. I think I saw most people here had to sign. After he handed me the package, I looked at him expecting to sign and he just looked at me and we had an awkward moment before he decided to walk back.
IF he ever shows up! He was 2 houses away and now in a different area! SMH

Has your status changed?
I, too, had a 9/16 date, which earlier this week changed to 9/27-9/29. Overnight, I was charged, and the status changed to “Preparing to Ship,” although the dates still show 9/27-9/29.
