I have 4GB of music even when it’s compressed.

I would of got 512GB but didn't know I would need more.

I know people like to have their media stored locally but I had a 256 11 pro max for three years with 200 GB of iCloud storage and didn't feel I needed the 512 GB. I had access to all my music and photos and videos with no issue. The ones stored on iCloud were just like if I had them stored locally on my phone. I recommend this 256 GB and 200 iCloud storage combo to folks who want the storage but don't want to spend the extra 200 dollars. It's definitely worked out well for me and I stuck with it for my 14 pro max which is also a 256 GB.

Good morning everyone!

I am so excited to see people from the Sept 29 - Oct 3 group (and earlier) getting shipping information! I was in that wave and will be cheering you on.

For those with Chase issues and wallet app yesterday those look to be fixed now. At least when I tried it this morning.

Going through my morning things and this iPhone feels so much snappier than my 13. Also, the animation on the dynamic island of my alarm going off while music was playing was kinda fun. It spun between the two icons. Kinda feel like the dynamic island is playful and hopefully in the future even mischievous in a helpful way.

Received. Conflicted about color irl.
The more I use it the more I love it (as in I keep flipping my phone over to stare at its back).

And let me tell you, now, that I have it, it was a bit nerve wrecking up until I received it.

At 5:05-5:10 (we all know the store takes a bit before they actually go live) pst, I ordered my phone. Was going to pick up in the store near work but once I hit submit, dang thing errored out.

Had to go and physically type my work address which for someone barely awake at 5 in the morning…

Naturally I got the street address wrong eg typed avenue vs drive or something like that and instead of 90210 I typed 92010.

Tried msg once I realize that error and got this multiple times throughout the day:
F88BE792-94F4-46DD-931B-32FC746CA81F.jpeg

Finally in the evening after trying once more, I decided to call, spoke to a lovely lady who said she can try but to check again on 5/15 5:30am when they open, on day of shipping (to begin).

Did so (after seeing on the app nothing changed) and spoke to a gentleman that was kind enough to confirm that the label was changed, and that the phone is on its way, and to not worry about the completely incorrect address I typed half asleep.

Was really dicy between 7am and 9am waiting for status to change from address update confirm to out for delivery… but lucky for my spot, Ups guy comes early and everything worked out.

I think as long as I’m at my current office and the Ups guy doesn’t quit or retire, going forward I’m just going to have my iPhone delivered 😅

Many people are reporting their iPhone has been shipped as of yesterday. I’m happy to announce Wave 3 has officially begun. Following up with the Wave 4.

There is a Typhoon 🌀 heading towards Anchorage, Alaska. I don’t expect any delays. There’s a possibility that Wave 3/4 iPhones may change the flight route and go through either Hong Kong 🇭🇰 or Japan 🇯🇵. Time will tell.

Congratulations and happy and safe travels who are expected to receive their new iPhones next week. ✈️ 📦

I didn’t have a chance to play with my new 14 Pro last night, since I had a friend’s birthday party to attend, but I’ve been spending some time with it this morning. A side by side comparison with the 13 Pro demonstrates that the 14 Pro’s display is noticeably brighter. I’m also really digging the dynamic island. It’s a more elegant solution than the notch. Mind you, I didn’t mind the notch to begin with.
I’m appreciating noticeably improved display.

Dynamic Island is really cool. When you see it expand collapse. It’s awesome. It may be my inner Apple fanboy talking but I love it so far. Far better than notch.

Right? I didn’t know what to think after all the reviews and negative comments. I knew I liked the look overall better than the notch because I prefer the uniform edges around the screen - looks more finished to me than the big notch cutout. However, I was starting to worry about the DI being bigger and intrusive when things were open, but I love the functionality of it.

So now I just have to decide if I’m gonna pick up the pro max tomorrow and give it a shot, or stick with this pro. I’ve been leaning toward just cancelling the pro max order, but IDK. Pros (no pun intended - lol) and cons to each.

I think I made the mistake of not letting my phone fully transfer/download apps before also trying to download the 16.0.1 update. Essentially the phone is a brick right now. Everything trying to download/install at the same time. I'm an idiot.

On another note, I had zero issues activating eSIM out of the box. I was also able to convert the physical SIM from my 13PM (secondary line) to eSIM and that has also been activated on the 14PM. Both lines on T-Mobile.

To add insult to my situation I got a call from UPS claims asking me to prove my phone is lost…again. Then as soon as I got back home from my morning walk, my iPhone trade in box arrived.
This sucks man. I have observed over years opening day seems to have among those on @TheYayAreaLiving 🎗 ings wonderful forum groups for preorders a half dozen or so reports. Given the millions of phones that came into Louisville that is small in our sample assuming similar percentages. But for folks like you that is not comforting i know.

It seems the process of holding and/or delivering trucks provides the greatest opportunities for theft and errors. UPS oversees a major logistics system but this is where it breaks down and its bureaucratic nature is a pain in the ass.

Last year an employee got caught with half dozen new iPhones at our Urbana UPS facility trying steal and then fence them. Showing the local or regional hubs to be weak because a few boxes can be pilfered when there are many. But this person was caught. Lots of cameras and such surveillance utilized

I didn't pay for it mine my father did I always get 128 GB for a while now I went with 256 GB thinking is a enough but my ocd checking the storage killing me.

I would have got 512GB but I didn't think I would need it but now the apps take too much storage.
I have had 256 the past several cycles. Has always been plenty. This year, in prep for preordering, I had a 256 queued up the day before. That night, I started thinking about storage. I take a lot of photos/videos at the looming larger image sizes started to taunt me. I began to fret that 256 wasn’t enough. When I went to complete the transaction the following morning, at the very last second, I decided to change my order to 512. It took two taps, to change and then one tap to preorder. Represents the largest storage I’ve had on an iPhone. Prob no turning back now. lol

Same here- moved to pfs yesterday and woke up to a shipped email. What’s interesting though- I can now see the shipping progress all the way from China, which didn’t happen with my wife’s phone delivered yesterday. Also, Apple shows as 9/26 delivery and ups as 9/22 with expedited shipping.

Was also in the 9/28 - 10/3 wave. Now Apple says 9/26 and UPS says 9/22 with Standard shipping.

Typical Apple. Under promise and over deliver.

Is everyone loving their new iPhone?!
I love mine! I'm trying to get used to the weight (I'm coming from a Mini) but the camera and the pretty purple color more than make up for it. Lavender Gray is still my favorite watch band color and the phone is basically the same color.
