Yes absolutely masterclass of all the elements coming together. Sticking to their own strategy, not putting like the others, and loved the show of confidence by still pitting at the end to get an extra point for fastest lap. A risky move, but the team delivered.Great racing at times throughout. Sergio and Carlos was intense. Welcome back Sergio. Great race for Lando. McLaren looking better every race. Nice to see Charles in P2. Ferrari finally got it correct.
Another Master Class by Max From a technical race. We need to be honest it’s not just the RB19 with Max at this point.
Lewis back to his good old whining. Finally told by Toto to “just drive the car.”
Congratulations to Honda for another P1. 😉
Sure the car is good, but it also take a driver to make the best out it it. Lando was another great example of that today. Not everyone can do what Max is doing with such flawless consistency.Imagine 2 guys being allowed to race a motorcycle in the Tour De France while 1 of those 2 guys cannot qualify his motorcycle in the top 10 constantly even though everybody else is on regular bike with pedals, so that the other guy (Max) just wins by default just by showing up.
That is what F1 is currently.
This has all about Andrian Newey, not Max really.
I still think they should have completely banned radio transmission to the viewers when it was hinted a couple of years ago. It just gives people something to criticise. These guys are always getting frustrated on the radio, look at how often Max’s radio is broadcast with him losing his cool.Lewis back to his good old whining. Ofcourse it is the car, it has nothing to do with Max.
He is only winning because Perez is his teammate.

Toto actually said ‘we know the car is bad, please just drive it’. His tone suggested he was apologetic and shared the frustration, rather than snapping back at Lewis, or that was my impression.
...and they didn'tDry race so Max will win. Hopefully the rest of the field makes it interesting.
I'll agree with you on this point. With Liberty Pulling the Strings though it's unlikely those comms will be closed to the public.
The radio is used in the same way a footballer rolls around on the floor with minimal contact. Its simply a way of trying to influence the steward/referee etc. That sort of thing is clever, even if it winds certain drivers fans up, depending on the driver in question. I like the fact we can hear what is going on, as a fan, but I don't like the fact there are so many fans out there that can't seem to handle it, or realise they are watching a highly competitive sport. All drivers complain or accuse over the air waves, I just wish their whole character or skill set wasn't judged because of it. Sadly we are in an era where there is so much content available during a race and its not always judged in the most positive way, and in many ways, with a large amount of hypocrisy. The only comms they’ve blocked are the ones when the race is stopped, and the ones between the race directors and teams. After that infamous race… the only thing that’s funny to hear are drivers comments when they are told they have penalties, otherwise it’s boring listening to ‘he ran me off the track’ when they know it was there fault, but they want to try and get away with it. Or the infamous ‘I have a problem with the car / tyres’ and then win the race.
Spot on. I don't need it.The radio is used in the same way a footballer rolls around on the floor with minimal contact. It wasn't a race.I gave up trying to get the damn iPad to Airplay to my Apple TV, the age old iOS bug with VPN’s… so I haven’t seen the race yet. Thought I may as well read the results here as it’ll be in the news now.
Cannot wait for the new Apple TV OS and VPN support.

Don’t forget that Max took that last pitstop to get the fastest lap. Otherwise there would be a further ~20s between them 😂Lando came forth!!!! I have to watch it now! Great to see Sergio back on it, although I suspect that may be a rarity. Alonso 30 seconds of Max!!! Just like the Lewis days of 2018 etc.
That’s some domination by Max.Don’t forget that Max took that last pitstop to get the fastest lap. Otherwise there would be a further ~20s between them 😂
Indeed, and the sign of a very confident team as they couldn’t do anything wrong as then Le Clerc could have easily take the 3-4s required. A bit risky but awesome to watch. That’s some domination by Max.
Being Iberian (ChatGPT has told me Spaniard and Iberian don’t have any negative connotation in English, I just don’t like to use the same word as the language, Spanish) I am proud of Fernando Alonso and I still think it’s one of the best drivers in recent history, along with Louis Hamilton, Robert Kubica, Michael Schumacher… and I’m sure I’m missing some others (Raikonnen when he was really focused and wasn’t thinking about the next party, maybe).
But, man, I never thought I’d say this about a formerly rude and immature pilot, but Max Verstappen is a hell of a pilot. No doubt why he and Fernando Alonso are friends and respect themselves. They are, from my point of view, the two best pilots on the grid.
You know, I was enjoying seeing Sergio Perez win over Max, to add a bit of spicy and emotion to the championship, but now I know Max deserves the championship.
And for the people who are going to say that RedBull cars in another league, yes, they’re easily the best car on the championship, but Sergio still struggles sometimes with that car (and he’s a pretty good pilot), so I’m starting to think that the great results of Max Verstappen aren’t only because he has the best car, but also because he’s such a perfectionist and aggressive pilot… In many ways, just like Fernando Alonso.
However, I don’t think they would be as good friends as they are if they were in the same team. It would probably be 2007 all over again (I guess the oldest people around here know what I’m referring to).
"Just drive the car... ", I was surprised Sir did not just park it, right there on the track.. Why not? It is a donkey with 4 broken legs, and a heart condition... Sky says "different car next week at Silverstone.." really.. What is going to change in less than 3 days? Cars have to be ready for the FIA eagle eyed inspectors Thursday...
