I know someone who's son works at RB F1 as an engineer and he gives me the inside info you don't hear about. Haven't seen him for a while though. He's a bit elderly so hope he's alright.

That’s cool, I’d imagine he’s enjoying plenty of win bonuses if he’s still there then! One of my mates left Mercedes at the end of 2013 to go and work for Nissan. Just before every employee started getting nice bonuses for every win Mercedes had

As much as I enjoy Silverstone and the one live race I can see each year, we all know the winner before they start don’t we?

Red Bull last won a British Grand Prix at Silverstone in 2012 so we can hope that the odds once again are not in Max's or Sergio's favor. That being said, betting against Max is probably not a good idea.

I just hope we don't have another massive accident on Lap 1 like we did in 2021 and 2022.

The margin of victory is much greater this season. If Max was being pushed, how much more do you think he’s got? Second a lap in reserve?

Bet that stung! Yes I think after every win they have a party, although if they win every race maybe not lol, and they do get a bonus and I’d imagine a nice fat one if they win the championship. I believe it’s in the thousands.

At this stage I’m supporting anyone for the win that isn’t Max!

I told you to wait for the weather. ;) I think RBR brought a new lower downforce upgrade to Silverstone. This could really bite them in the wet as we saw in P3. Could be too much to adjust for at the track? Will be a big test for RBR come Race Day.

Lando for pole.

Hope Red Bulls setup doesn’t suit the wet, but won’t hold my breath as I think they are in a class of their own. First qualifying session I’m about the watch in about 5 years too.

Nice to hear Channel 4 have agreed another 3 years of highlights with Sky F1. The sport isn’t fading away in the UK yet than goodness. It would have been better if it had come back to FTA, but that’ll never happen now and highlights suit me just fine

Well it is Britain! Max is pretty handy in the wet though.
But changeable conditions, the odd yellow or red flag could mix it up a bit.

Agreed. I’m not going to pay for Sky F1 anytime soon.

Last half of FP3 was wet and as qualifying gets underway we have a damp track that is drying, but more rain is expected.

Max understeers into the pit wall and breaks his wing. Still under a Red Flag so they just rolled him back into the garage and swapped it.

I didn't expect times to improve, but I was clearly wrong as everyone made huge improvements on their one hot lap.

Perez goes from First to Worst as he is knocked out thanks to Bottas' engine letting go and blocking his second hot lap.

Not really an excuse. In that car he should never have been there in the first place. He really is off the pace in qualifying of late.

Yes the car does not seem to suit him, especially over one lap. If Max is not around, he seems to be able to do okay in race conditions, but his starting positions have been consistently sub-par and while Max's race dominance is covering their CC defense, they are leaving points on the table.

Perez is the worst driver on the grid by miles. He has the best car on the grid, and despite this unfair advantage, 2/3 of the grid constantly beats Perez in qualifying.

Perez makes Rubens Barrichello looks like Senna.

Norris almost had pole. What a drive!

McLaren 2nd and 3rd.

Shows how much pace Max has in hand, however. He was not on a purple lap (actually was slower in S2 then his best) and still pulls it out by over three-tenths.
