That sucks.
Do you have an ESPN+ subscription? If you do, the race will be carried on ESPN+, as well, so you should be able to watch it as I have been able to watch the races that have been carried on ESPN+ as part of my Disney/Hulu/ESPN+ bundle.
Spectrum is my local provider, but I do not have cable TV from them as I use still have access to my old cable provider (which is not Spectrum) to stream the races carried on ESPN and ESPN2 via the cable phone app.
Sainz on pole!
Max second. LeClerc third. Russell fourth. Perez fifth.
And Ferrari ducked a penalty for both drivers for driving too slow on their final Q2 out lap.
So it has been reviewed and decided? I thought it was still under review.
Yes, I have ESPN +. However you are required to enter you cable provider. So, since it’s Spectrum it is blocked. So infuriating. Not a chance I’m paying F1 Live to watch tomorrow.
Qualifying was carried on ESPN2, so that makes sense you are blocked.
But both Grand Prix Sunday and the race tomorrow will be carried on ESPN and ESPN+ so you should be able to watch it with your ESPN+ subscription. When I watch races that are only on ESPN or ESPN2, my cable provider icon appears in the upper corner for a moment. This does not happen for races also carried on ESPN+. I have also never needed to cable provider authenticate a race carried on ESPN+.
Looks like a fair bit of the remainder of the season will have races carried on ESPN+ (but not practice or qualifying): https://espnpressroom.com/us/formula-1-2018-world-championship-schedule-on-espn-networks/
I thought Imola is their home track? Thanks, I'll give it a try again. Maybe I can watch from my desktop on a browser instead of the App on my ATV?
Still sick and tired of the corporate greed.
I think tomorrow will be about what can Ferrari run the PU Setting at and either not blow up or run out of fuel. Their PU's were maxed out in Qualifying IMO. I think tires will also be an issue tomorrow. Almost everyone went through 7 sets. I don't think RB has the RB19 where Max wants it yet. They are, historically, very good at making adjustments the night before the race. That aside, have to cheer on Ferrari tomorrow regardless. It's their home track.
I thought Imola is their home track?
That is correct. I should have broadened my cheering to “Home Country.”![]()
My wife and I were having that conversation yesterday. I was wondering as I was loving the alfa romeo livery as well.
After Zandvoort the atmosphere looks non-existent at Imola. So weird to see such a muted crowd reaction.

Nah. He’ll be leading until the first pit stop. Then he’ll pull in and they’ll only have 3x full wet tyres available and one slick. They’ll also put the front wheels on the back and the back on the front.I don't really care for the Alfa's livery.
I'm assuming that the Italian fan base realizes Sianz will be in 5th by the 1* Curva di Lesmo and leClerc retired by Variante Ascari ...
But who knows?
GO SAINZ! GO LANDO! GO FRED!!

Of course if that happened to Max he’d still win!
Well miracles do happen, RE Sainz.Sainz will be third by Ascari I reckon. Max will win by a conservative 30 seconds with the engine turned down.
As late as Ascari!?!? You're quite the optimist I see...Sainz will be third by Ascari I reckon. Max will win by a conservative 30 seconds with the engine turned down.

I'd say 50/50 track and Sainz. Look at Albon, he also managed to hold up loads of others. Tedious track with realistically one overtaking place, then a lap of nothing and another try the next lap.Ferrari did a good job of keeping Max behind for a lot longer than I thought. But as soon as he got by, that was that. I’m surprised LeClerk couldn’t have done more to help out his teammate at the start. If he’d been all over his gearbox, it might have been a different story.
