I’m using a CPAP strap (for oxygen masks) with my solo knit band, £8.95 from Amazon.
I’ve noticed the annoying tilt to the left, so I’m glad you brought it up, nobody else seems to mention it.

Are you astigmatic by any chance? Saw some speculation that astigmatism can cause the window tilt effect. I haven’t noticed it since I’ve installed my optical inserts.

No, although I have got the Zeiss lenses due to being short sighted
Do they help the window tilt at all? I find it very odd - when I have the lenses on they appear perfectly parallel, without they seem askew. I can’t tell if it’s an optical illusion or some alignment issue.

No, not really, it's there both with and without the lenses

Swapped my light seal today and immediately feels more comfortable. Went from 21W to 33W and although taking a slight hit on the FOV, it’s worth it to me if I can wear it for longer with it feeling good to wear.

Two weeks in and I think I’m definitely keeping it. Watching the Olympics on what looked like a 100” screen in some backwater Holiday Inn during the week has been amazing - although if I didn’t travel every week for work, I’d probably have to think about it a lot longer.

So not even the iPad app? That’s a bummer. doesnt work on safari?
iPlayer works on the web. I don’t have sky go or discovery plus, but I’ve just logged in to discovery plus (no active subscription) and it is letting me get as far as “upgrade your pass”, so I am assuming it works.

Thanks for that

Sadly Discovery+ streaming does not work, you get as far as clicking to watch something and then you get a screen telling you to download the app, which is not available.

I think these sorts of things are to be expected with it being a completely new format.

Think of all of the missing support the iPad had when it first came out… part of the journey really? Although Vision Pro is considerably more expensive, so missing support maybe more difficult to accept.

I believe Discovery + is available in other territories - I have certainly seen it on lists of apps with support. iPlayer I'm not bothered about because it has a usable web player, and I hope Sky might take note at some point but actually they aren;t always the fastest to adopt things when it doesn't suit them somehow.

Damn that’s a massive disappointment

If they could get sky go and discovery plus to work that would be massive for football for example and I could justify the cost

NBA has an app though which I imagine would be great

Yeah, that is a massive disappointment. Lack of Sky Go and Discovery+ is what stopped me even thinking about buying AVP as sport would be a big use case for me. Hopefully Sky and others are working on it…

All they have to do is click a button to allow the iPad app to be available to Vision Pro users. No work needed.

I know right!

In their defence, might be a little more complicated if they need to update their licensing agreements for content to ensure AVP platform is okay and sufficient for DRM etc.. which we know it is technically but maybe they have hoops to jump through.

Does this app work on Vision Pro as iPad app?

Agree with others above that the lack of discovery+ and sky go is very annoying. Would have loved to watch most of the olympics on this thing but have had to resort to the limited iplayer coverage. Also would love to watch tennis/F1 in this on sky, but seems like we're out of luck for now.

Has anyone tried contacting either party to encourage them to make these available? I tried a month or so ago when it first came out but might do it again...

I've been searching around for details of someone suitably senior to get a non "cut and paste" response. no point going through their normal support channels - There won't be a template reply available.

If your prescription inserts have different magnification values, you will notice this tilt.
I returned them and got their closest OTC (reading glasses) measurement inserts instead.
I have noticed my eyes would eventually adjust. In my case there's a .25 difference between eyes.

As far as the development process is concerned, that is true.

Updating your infrastructure pipelines, testing, legal paperwork, documentation, training your support staff for handling users on a completely new platform, writing press releases ...

There is a lot of work involved with offering an application beyond just development.
