Does anyone know how the preorder will work in the UK? Is it similar to the US were we book a time to collect from the Apple Store and we have a demo before actually committing to the walk off with the device?

Also, any idea of the returns window for a device that was preordered online? Is it 14 days after collecting it?

So I can’t answer that, but I will suggest you make an appointment to pick up the Vision Pro in the store. They can check the size of the light shield to make sure it fits properly. They can swap to a different size if needed.

When I picked up mine, a scheduled pickup, the demo was included. Worthwhile so you can verify that the app configured light shield fitting works for you.

Agreed. I even went back a week later to try a wide variety of sizes just to be certain.
In the end, the size originally suggested by the app was the best one for me.

What's everyone going with for storage? I think I have settled on 512GB. The £200 premium doesn't seem so bad when you're talking £3495 vs £3695.

What has Apple done to me??! 🤦🏻‍♂️😄

If I do proceed with getting one, think I will go with a 512GB. Same regarding 3rd party case too, the Spigen Klasden looks like a good option (better than the Apple one) and a 1/4 of the price.

I can recommend this one from SFbags.com - https://www.sfbags.com/collections/specialty-bags/products/vision-pro-shield-case. More than the cheap ones, but less than the Apple one. But more stylish, in my opinion.

I’ll check this out!

$61 shipping to the UK sadly. I do like the look of this!

Getting a 512. I already got a briefcase style case for it off Amazon. Way more useful and cheaper than the Apple case.

Also f no was I paying over $300 cad for a case LOL

I had wondered the same, but I have decided to trust the head scanning and preorder, as I don’t want to miss out on launch day stock. If the fit isn’t right, I will go to my local Apple Store to get them to sort it.

There are many times where you have to download large files in order to view them. Right now I'm using 358 GB of storage.

1. AmazeVR concerts takes ~23 GB just downloading the sample songs. Full concerts would be more.

2. Vision OS takes ~12.43 GB.

3. Many virtual reality apps require you to download content to use them. Explore POV in my case uses ~18 GB, Healium ~11 GB, Photos ~8 GB, UY Immersive ~6 GB and so on.

What sort of thing is eating up your storage?

as above.

I am planning to Preorder and with only 21 people this thread indicating the same, hopefully I can pick mine up on the day at an Apple Store.

100% do the demo, and spend some time trying different sized light seals. Go bigger, go smaller, find the one that feels the most secure, but don't worry too much if it's initially a bit uncomfortable.

took a few days for my face to get used to the size I settled on and now I barely notice it while wearing for multiple hours every day.

pre-order day tomorrow, now its close im not sure I want to spend £3500 on this piece of tech!

Same here.. but I think my plan was always to wait a few weeks anyway and see what the landscape is for UK ecosystem (eg: UK TV provider apps, etc).

Might go for a demo in a few weeks when I'm less busy and see how things go, in the mean time, look forward to reading all of the experiences UK folk have in here.

First major Apple product I may not preorder!

Can't make up my mind about pre-ordering this. I just tried it this morning while travelling overseas - the headset is heavier than I thought, but I can see the appeal quite clearly. I *might* just get one and see if I use it enough over 14 days, and if not, return it.
