Finally got my new prescription sorted today in preparation for next Friday! Have just submitted to Zeiss, hopefully they approve it quickly and can get everything sorted in time for when the headset arrives.

Anyone else feel like the next 10 days are going to go very slowly...
Update us here when you get the delivery date range for the lenses. I got 10th - 12th

Like a few others, I had two emails telling me that my Zeiss inserts were being made. I had a heck of a time trying to get Zeiss to OK my prescription originally - they kept saying that it was for reading glasses when I use varifocals - I even contacted my opticians to try and get some sort of explanation but to no avail. I had been to get my eyes checked and got a new prescription prior to ordering my Vision Pro and (stupidly) thought it would be a breeze. I also got new varifocals and a pair of reading glasses last week. I ended up using a slightly older prescription form and luckily Zeiss OK'd that one. Am still bit concerned as I have very little vision in my right eye (and can't see stereoptically) but still want to experience the Vision Pro. Got my order in for release day and inserts 10 - 12 July.

When collecting the VP from the Apple Store, does anyone know if a fitting is part of the collection process, or do they just give you the sealed box with the pad size suggested by the head scan.

I’ve actually booked a demo for 30 mins prior to my collection slot, purely so that I can try on different face pads, I’m not overly interested in the rest of the demo, I’ve watched enough you tube videos to know how it works.

I wear varifocals, but made sure my VP lenses were for the distance part of the prescription - and they work perfectly. Hope thats' (at least a bit) reassuring

Good idea - Just booked in a demo for this, will cancel if the collection does the fitting

I believe the collection includes a fitting - which is why I’ve gone collection rather than delivery. This is what the Apple Store app says - “check the fit”.

I want to do the unboxing at home, I wonder if they check the fittings with demo units or we open our units hmm
Why not book a demo for just before your collection - They you can get the sizing done with the store unit - But you will have to open your box if you need to change the size of anything so that you can swap the parts.

For what it’s worth, I didn’t know about the fitting process so I just picked mine up and went home. A week later I set up time to double check the fit. I left mine at home. They basically did a mock demo with me and brought out a variety of sizes I could try. What the app sized me as was correct.

I received a DHL shipping notice today and it is on the move from China but the Apple Store doesn’t show it as shipped yet.

I can’t see that, is that on the order confirmation somewhere?
No it’s in the purchase stage. On the order confirmation it just has fairly generic text about collection with a specialist which I suspect is the same text if I’d bought a phone or Mac or something.

Was told by an employee that the pickup includes a fitting with demo units - so unboxing you can do at home, and light seals in the pickup can be swapped out if sizing turns out to be different than your order.

I haven't received any such thing yet. I thought they only update shipping the day before.

Just received a shipping text from DHL, also coming from China. Apple still not taken the money for the device yet though.

DHL shipping text message here as well - this is the first time ordering an Apple product that I have received one from China. Still shows preparing for dispatch on the Apple website though. No sign of the ZEISS inserts moving yet.
