The VP and the lenses will ship separately. Zeiss ship the lenses themselves directly from their factory. They dont go through any Apple logistics.
 
Thanks for the heads up re the DHL app, it’s been on quite a journey! Just left Germany 20 minutes ago so hopefully will be in the UK today? If it lands in the east mids later I’m going to head over and see if I can pick it up from them, as I only live 10 mins away from the depot!

lens inserts have shipped, says they will arrive by the 11th. I have a pending payment for the AVP, but no charge yet for the inserts. The AVP I am collecting from the Cribbs Causeway store in Bristol on Friday morning.

Just to join in the ZEISS inserts news - mine have shipped as well! And DHL have got my Vision Pro leaving Leipzig for the UK but “Shipment is held pending clarification of goods valuation”?

Yeah this is very painful haha - I'm about 5 miles from my Vision Pro! Sucks so much that they won't let me go and pick it up when its sitting there... grrrrr

Update - Zeiss lenses now being made, due for delivery 15th-18th July. Not in time for the 12th :( Bit disappointing but I should be able to use it without lenses as my prescription isn't super strong. I went ahead and ordered another light seal today for times when I'm not using the lenses - can't believe they're charging £199 for it...
 
Payment was attempted yesterday but declined by the bank from my business account. Called them up today to be told “you will need to arrange an alternative payment method, we can’t authorise it”. Put in a complaint, then I got shouted at when I told them it needed to be authorised by the end of day…

Alternative payment method used, AVP status changed to “processing”, business banking in the process of being taken elsewhere.

Has anyone else had their pick up time display differently in different places? Sometimes my 08:00am collection displays as 08:30am, mainly when using the website.

Please do give an update on the Cribbs pickup experience if you can during the day - I can’t get in there until after work!

Hi, my time was displayed as 30 minutes later on the website, don't know why.

Think it’s at apples request! I’ve been hounding DHL this morning and they’re coming back to me on whether I can pick it up today, but I think the chances are extremely slim
 
Lenses saying expected 15-18 July with no sign of being shipped, and my pickup is on Saturday…

Chances are 0.00000%. Apple would rain a ********* down on DHL if they let you have your AVP before Friday.

I'm still trying my luck with DHL... the people I've spoken to seem oblivious to the Friday 12th release date and are proactively trying to get it through clearance so that I can go and pick it up. I suspect I'll reach a point where someone in charge gets back to me and tells me the gig is up 🙃

Glad I tried though - interesting to see how all the systems work and how they interact with Apple behind the scenes, even if it leads nowhere.
