Media chatter is increasing that Carlos Sainz will announce his move to Williams for 2025 during the Spanish Grand Prix weekend.

Interesting, and Newey is now linked to Aston Martin for £25m a season lol, I think the press make things up and nobody really had a clue where he is going.

Flavio advising on crash strategy at Alpine is an interesting one and strange considering the embarrassment he brought to Renault back in 2009 when he was expelled.

A lot of people want to stop channel crossings. I just want to stop Danica Patrick crossing the Atlantic crossings. I was supposed to be safe this week.

I’ve only seen TikTok videos of Danica commenting on F1 and don’t tend to watch her for more than a few seconds. She doesn’t strike me as having a lot of depth to her analysis and can’t really see her as having the credentials to do punditry on F1 compared to other ex-drivers or experienced journalists. At least Channel 4 has Lee McKenzie who has been in the sport for 20+ years and her father before her.

Newey to AMR is rubbish. Either Ferrari or Williams. Personally, I take the Ferrari leaks with a grain of salt. I doubt money is his priority. Let's see what he does once Carlos announces his seat at Williams. I'm hopeful.

I'd like to see Ruth receive an expanded role. Her addition to the team has been a welcome serving of knowledge. I actually watch the Pre-Race Show with her addition. I could listen to her for hours with her Strategist Breakdowns.

Even on this side of the pond Danica has always been shallow in her analysis. Commenting on F1 based on your Indy experience can only make it to Turn 1. I think if she had a stronger knowledge base it would have helped her fend off the attack dogs (in the US.) It's not easy for a woman in motorsports regardless of the geography. She could have also made a couple of off camera events less of a spotlight.

Not sure about this weekend, but Williams is a done deal.

I’ve not seen her on TV in the UK, probably a Sky thing then so have no opinion on her input, although it should be good considering her credentials. Channel 4 offer good enough coverage in highlight form which is better for me as weekends are busy.

I enjoy the channel 4 highlights. Have a good range of experts in their line up.

She is on F1TV. One of the cheapest ways to watch everything 👍 And more.

I mean clearly they want females in there which is fine but they don’t have the credentials from a sporting point of view as none of them have done it.
However she’s so dull and her voice is like nails on a chalkboard.
I find Naomi is fairly inoffensive whilst Bernie Collins genuinely adds something to the broadcast as an ex strategist with a lot of experience in this sport.

Naomi, Bernie, and Ruth would be a great team.

I’m not really familiar with Naomi either to be honest but every type of sports coverage have strict quotas to fill, much like the coverage of the Euro’s now.

I pay attention when Bernie speaks. Unlike most of of the presenters she has actual recent F1 experience inside the core of a team. I like how she often disagree and brings different impartial context to the other presenters.

Naomi I find way too much Lewis biased. Even to her same weird dress sense. I just don’t think she adds anything of interest. No apparent F1 affinity, no defined market affinity nor recognition and no presenting skills. Really don’t get why she is there.

Well that was a heck of a final lap for P1 and P2 by Lando and Max... And both over three-tenths faster than the rest of the Top 10.

Frédéric Vasseur must be chewing raw pasta considering both Mercedes pipped them. Perez nowhere as usual, though Red Bull also forced him to give Max a tow that final run so that would not have helped. Piastri was doing well until he threw it away. So Lando and Max will have to fight without their teammates.

And Briatore comes back and Alpine is immediately in Q3 again... You can't make this up. 🤣

You should try for a spot in the booth when they come to Austin.... ;)
