If you want to see stupid, watch the Dubai Autonomous League, the idea was to have cars figure out how to race.. Suffice to say, AI has a very very long way to go...

Well played and well deserved, George.
Another "if only" for Piastri and Lando. Though this time they have only themselves to blame.
Ferrari strategy in the weeds again.
Perez 8th with fastest lap. Will it be Max and Danny together again in a month at Zandvoort?

Absolutely Heroic Drive by George. Congratulations!!!! Mercedes looking very good, again......

McLaren Pit Calls again??

Ferrari? Yup, Ferrari.

Excellent Damage Control from RB. 10 spot grid penalty and Max drives the Mediums home in 5th. Leaves for the Summer Break extending his WDC points lead....

Goodby Sergio????

I was surprised Sergio was at the track, he is just costing the team points.. Keep his seat... possibly until the end of the season.

Lewis elevated to winner after George's car was found to be under the minimum weight.

Let the conspiracy theories begin…

So let’s summarize this race:
1. Red Bull: these guys used a wet setup with too much downforce while the weather forecast for the race was dry. Real geniuses at work.
2. Mercedes: cannot seem to weight their own car correctly.
3. McLaren: impressive that they got the strategy more wrong than Ferrari.
4: Ferrari: did like you expect from them.

Is this normal for F1 in 2024 (I rarely watch F1 races anymore)?

Great race. Whilst all the attention was on the Mercs at the front, I couldn’t believe Lando couldn’t pass Max. He didn’t need to see his championship rival extend his lead.
Perez is done. Surly.

Imagine I told you in April we would see a McLaren 1-2 one week and a Mercedes 1-2 (well before the disqualification) before the summer break? You’d assume a multi car pile up, changeable weather or a DNF for Max.

Loving 2024 so far.

Shame, I doubt driver of car 44 is happy... Maybe having buyers remorse.. bought a new bed, new mattress, does not like it.. has to live with it...

I think it’s worth a shout out to all the drivers who have to endure the incessant trolling of interviewers like Sky F1’s Craig Slater. I don’t watch Sky but often see clips and he is absolutely dreadful. The desperation of trying to get drivers to say something controversial and to stoke up feuds is unbelievable. You can see the likes of Lewis, Lando and Max are thoroughly fed up by it but have to speak due to media commitments. He’s by far the only one and it must be exhausting.

I hate the sky commentary, they have nothing to contribute, nothing, it is painful and cringe every week.. They even managed to make it 10x cringe when they went "studio" mode, everyone stood around like they were at the grade 6 school dance, boys there, girls here, very cringe.. The 90 minute build up, should be scrapped, it adds nothing to the broadcast... What they should do, is rebroadcast events from 1970 onwards, every race then at 2pm, cut to the live event.. The grid walk is getting terrible, Martin Brundle every week has to apologize...

I could not agree with you more strongly.

So, it appears Mercedes was caught off guard by George keeping the one stop with their weight calculations. While there is quite a bit of speculation, are they saying that a new set of tires would have added the 1.5kg?

They apparently didn’t drain all the fuel to try a last gasp effort to find some weight.

Can a set of 4 Hards with 32 laps on them weigh that much less?
